Sensing ball game machine

A sensing baseball game apparatus (10) has a game machine (12) connected to a television monitor (18). A bat input device (32) is provided with an acceleration sensor. An acceleration signal is transmitted by an infrared-ray LED (34) to an infrared-ray receiving part of the game machine (12) whereby the game machine (12) determines a moving speed of the bat input device (32) to calculate a moving parameter of a ball to be batted. Accordingly, a batted ball is moved in the game scene according to the parameter.

Ball for ball game and method for manufacturing the same

To provide a ball for ball game and a method for manufacturing the ball having superior sphericity, an ability to retain its original shape, durability, and soft feel. The fabric layer (12) is formed by sewing with a sewing machine for instance pentagonal first fabric pieces (13) together with composite shaped second fabric pieces (14) in which two hexagons are connected with each other, so that a spherical shape is formed. The marginal edge of the first and second fabric pieces are superimposed in the spherical surface direction, so that corner portions thereof are temporarily attached. Temporary attachment is achieved by inserting the needle into the needle through hole formed in the corner of the first and second fabric pieces, and welding by means of ultra sonic wave, such that the first and second fabric pieces (13, 14) are accurately aligned. The temporarily attached fabric pieces sewn together using a sewing machine along the guiding line (17) for sewing printed beforehand on the surface of the fabric pieces (13, 14).

Reusable paint grenade

A reusable paint dispersing grenade of the type employed in paint ball games is constructed in such a manner as to avoid the use of any combustible materials, and also to avoid the requirement for access to a source of compressed air for operation. The paint grenade of the invention has a hollow, fluid-tight casing defining an enclosed cavity that is divided internally into a marking paint chamber, a first propellant component chamber, and a second propellant component chamber. The propellant component chambers are each filled separately with propellant components, but remain isolated from each other until the paint dispersing grenade is used. At that time the propellant components chemically react with each other in a noncombustible manner to produce a quantity of gas under pressure. The expanding gas produced by the chemical reaction builds to a pressure sufficient to break a paint seal in the casing or a gas seal initially separating the gas from the paint, whereupon the gas under pressure forces the paint out through one or more paint expulsion ports. The device may be recharged with marking paint and the chemically reactive propellant components any number of times.

Face mask with detachable eye shield

In a face mask for use in the practice of paint-ball games or other such activities requiring effective shielding of the face, a large unitary lens is applied to an aperture extending from the brow to the chin and from one temple to the other. The lens is secured by a pair of releasable clips that can be quickly manipulated for cleaning or replacement of the lens in a matter of seconds. A semi-conical breath deflector extends behind the lens from the nose bridge to the base of the lens channeling the breath away from the lens and towards ventilating slits in the base of the mask. The slant of the deflector avoids any obstruction of the field of vision such as created by the lens frame of conventional goggles and face masks.
