368 results about "Reverse mode" patented technology

Reverse Mode is a mode in Bloons Tower Defense 5 and Bloons Tower Defense 6 which was added on 15th November 2012. In this mode, every bloon appears from the exit and exits at the entrance. When a player completes a track in reverse, they get a green reverse medal for that track. Reverse Mode cannot be in Daily Challenges or Special Missions.

Automatic playback overshoot correction system

An automatic playback overshoot correction system predicts the position in the program material where the user expects to be when the user stops the fast forward or reverse progression of the program material. The invention determines the position where the program material was stopped. The media controller transitions to the new mode that the user selected, starting at the stopped position with an overshoot correction factor added or subtracted from it. The invention adapts to the user by remembering how much the user corrects after he stops the fast forward or reverse mode. Correction factors are calculated using the user's corrections and adjusting the correction factors if the user continues to make corrections. The invention also uses a prediction method to correctly place the user within the program upon transition out of either mode and determines if the speed of the fast forward or reverse modes and then automatically subtracts or adds, respectively, a time multiple to the frame where the transition was detected and positions the user at the correct frame. The time multiple is fine tuned if the user is consistently correcting after the fast forward or rewind mode stops. Another method initially tests the user's reaction time using a test video and asks the user to press the fast forward or reverse button on his control device during the test video and then asks the user to position the video to the place that he expected the system to have been. This time span is then used whenever the user uses the fast forward or reverse modes and is adjusted with a multiple for each speed. A final method allows the user to simply set a sensitivity setting that the system will use as a correction factor and a multiple is subtracted or added to the release frame whenever the user uses the fast forward or reverse modes, respectively.

Rotating catch lock, specially for motor vehicles

The invention relates to a rotating catch lock, wherein a closing member (10) interacts with a catch (20), which can be rotated between a closing position accommodating the closing member (10) and an open position which releases said member. The catch (20) is force-loaded (22) in an open position and is held by a spring-loaded (33) rotating latch (30) in the close position. Said latch (30) is moved by a motor (50) between the locking position retaining the catch (20) and a stand-by release position in which the spring-loaded latch (30) is propped up by the catch (20) as long as it remains in an open position. In order to use small compact motors (50), the invention provides that the stored energy (61) exerted by an energy storage mechanism (60) is transmitted to the latch (30) via a storage lever (40). Normally, the latch (30) is shifted into its stand-by position by the storage lever (40). When the latch (30) is in a stand-by position, the storage lever (40) is supported on a control tappet (51) which is rotationally driven by the motor (50). The motor (50) can be driven by an electrical control logic in both a forward mode (56) unloading the energy storage (60) and a reverse mode (56') loading the energy storage (60), i.e. in opposite directions. In the reverse mode (56') the control tappet (51) releases the latch (30), moves towards the storage lever (40) and guides it back into a starting position which corresponds to the stand-by position of the latch (30).

Multi-subject extracting method based on semantic categories

The invention provides a multi-subject extracting method based on semantic categories. The multi-subject extracting method based on the semantic categories comprises the following steps that firstly, a document is preprocessed according to a traditional method and a vector composed of feature words is obtained preliminarily; secondly, synonyms are merged by the utilization of the corresponding relation between word meanings and concepts of 'HowNet', polysemic word disambiguation is carried out according to the correlation between the semantic categories and the context, and a concept vector model is constructed to represent the document; then the concept vector model is converted to be a semantic category model according to the one-to-one corresponding relation between the concepts and the semantic categories; the concept similarity is calculated by the utilization of the related semantic information in the concepts in 'HowNet' and then the semantic similarity is obtained; the semantic categories are clustered by improving the K-means algorithm according to the method of presetting seeds, and a plurality of subject semantic category clusters are formed; finally, a plurality of sub-subject word sets are obtained in a reverse mode according to the corresponding relations between the semantic categories and the concepts and between the concepts and words. The method considers the semantic information, overcomes the defect that the sensibility to the initial center by the K-means algorithm and time-and-space cost are not stable, and improves the quality of extracted subjects.
