The multi-frequency networking method comprises the steps that one or more main nodes and a center node are set in each sub-node, the sub-nodes adjacent in physical communication distance form a sub-domain, and a center node is set in each sub-domain; the sub-domains adjacent in physical communication distance are adjacent sub-domains, and communication among the sub-domains is achieved through the center nodes; a working band of the communication system is divided into a plurality of sub-frequency bands which are not crossed; when the sub-nodes are in communication, the OFDMA technology is adopted to set OFDM sub-carriers corresponding to sub-frequency bands for communication among the sub-nodes in each sub-domain and communication among the center nodes among the sub-domains to be effective sub-carriers, and the rest of sub-carriers is set to be virtual sub-carriers. The multi-frequency networking method can meet the various networking requirements, equipment cost and complexity are low, the shortcomings of an existing networking method in the power line communication system are overcome, conflict and network signaling spending in communication are lowered, mutual interference among equipment is reduced, and the system capacity and the communication performance of the network are improved.
