Techniques for creating a High Dynamic Range (HDR) image within a consumer grade digital camera from a series of images of a scene captured at different exposure levels, and displaying the HDR image on the camera's built-in display, are provided. The approach employs mixing images of the series to incorporate both scene shadow and highlight details, and the removing of “ghost” image artifacts appearing in the mixed HDR image resulting from movement in the scene over the time the series images are captured. The low computational resource utilization of the present invention's image mixing and ghost removal processing operations, along with the present invention's ability to commence image mixing and ghost removal prior to the acquisition of all series images, can significantly reduce the time required to generate and display a tone mapped HDR image.

A solid imaging apparatus and method employing levels of exposure varied with gray scale or time or both of digitally light projected image of a cross-section of a three-dimensional object on a solidifiable photopolymer build material. Some embodiments provide a method of operating a device to capture an image of a high dynamic range (HDR) scene. Upon the device entering an HDR mode, the method captures and stores multiple images at a first image exposure level. Upon receiving a command to capture the HDR scene, the method captures a first image at a second image exposure level. The method selects a second image from the captured plurality of images. The method composites the first and second images to produce a composite image that captures the HDR scene. In some embodiments, the method captures multiple images at multiple different exposure levels.

A method is provided for forming high dielectric constant (high-k) films for semiconductor devices. According to one embodiment, a metal-carbon-oxygen high-k film is deposited by alternately and sequentially exposing a substrate to a metal-carbon precursor and near saturation exposure level of an oxidation source containing ozone. The method is capable of forming a metal-carbon-oxygen high-k film with good thickness uniformity while impeding growth of an interface layer between the metal-carbon-oxygen high-k film and the substrate. Improving the dynamic range of captured images is disclosed by using sub-pixel arrays to capture light at different exposures and generate color pixel outputs for an image in a single frame. Each sub-pixel array can include multiple sub-pixels. The sub-pixels that make up a sub-pixel array can include red (R) sub-pixels, green (G) sub-pixels, blue (B) sub-pixels, and in some embodiments, clear sub-pixels. Those sub-pixel arrays having clear sub-pixels effectively have a higher exposure level and can capture low-light scenes (for dark areas) better than those sub-pixel arrays without clear sub-pixels. A method of transforming the color appearance of a plurality of digital images includes receiving a plurality of digital images from a capture medium wherein each digital image includes a plurality of pixel values relating to at least three basic colors; calculating a color correction transform by using a non-linear adjustment that is independent of the digital images and which corrects an under-exposure condition as a function of the capture medium; and a linear functional relationship dependent upon the pixels of the basic colors, the linear functional relationship defining an exposure-level-dependent estimate of gray corresponding to the photographic response of the capture medium; and using the color correction transform to modify the pixels of the plurality of digital images wherein the pixels within a digital image are transformed with varying degrees of color modification as a function of exposure.

An image processing method and apparatus for obtaining a wide dynamic range image, the method including: obtaining a plurality of low dynamic range images having different exposure levels for a same scene; generating motion map representing whether motion occurred, depending on brightness ranks of the plurality of low dynamic range images; obtaining weights for the plurality of low dynamic range images; generating a weight map by combining the weights and the motion map; and generating a wide dynamic range image by fusing the plurality of low dynamic range images and the weight map. An analog-to-digital converter (ADC) generates an output digital value equivalent to the difference between two analog signal values. The ADC 30 receives a first analog signal level, a second analog signal level and a ramp signal. A counter 32 is operable to count in a single direction. A control stage is arranged to enable the counter 32 based on a comparison 19 of the ramp signal with the first analog signal and the second analog signal. The cyber-risk calculator receives a security assessment result sample having a list of security modules, each security module listing including a respective result of a security assessment of the application identifying a vulnerability and/or misconfiguration capable of being exploited and/or abused. When run in a risk calculation mode, the cyber-risk calculator determines a world partition of the application in the security assessment result sample belongs to, references a set of parameters from a parametrization database according to the world partition corresponding to the application, determines a cyber-risk exposure level for the application based upon the security assessment result sample and the set of parameters, and reports results of the cyber-risk calculation.
