The flexible, reusable packaging container of the present invention is comprised of a packaging material. The packaging material is comprised of one or more layers of coating disposed on one or more layers of textile substrate. The coating layer may be comprised of a stiffening agent for providing support to the packaging container. The stiffening agent may provide a gas and/or liquid impermeable barrier between the contents of the container and the textile substrate. The stiffening agent may also include chemicals which impart antifungal or antibacterial properties to container. The textile substrate typically provides an aesthetically pleasing feel and appearance to the outside of the packaging container, as well as providing functional attributes such as water repellence, stain resistance, and/or anti-static resistance. The resulting packaging container possesses increased strength, puncture resistance, and resistance to de-lamination over the current paper or plastic packaging containers.

The present invention is directed to a reusable pain relieving treatment device, such as a belt, that comprises one or more conductive members that extend from an inner surface of the device and are capable of transferring heat, cold or vibrations from disposable or reusable packs.

A resealable container is provided having a container opening and a rim and a multilayer film covering the container opening and the rim. The multilayer film contains at least an outer layer, a sealing layer facing the rim and a layer of adhesive between the outer layer and the sealing layer. The sealing layer is secured around the rim and contains a weak spot such that when the resealable container is first opened a double bead of said sealing layer remains on the rim in the region of the weak spot. Such resealable containers have improved tear-open behavior and resealability.

A packaging assembly is provided for storing and merchandising electric components, such as electrical cables. Until now, cables and other electrical components have typically in disposable container, which were generally not reusable, and often require knives or tools to open, risking damage and injury. However, to combat problems associated with conventional devices and techniques, an easy-to-use reusable packaging assembly is employed. A returnable and reusable packaging and storage system for elongated members, such as awnings. The system includes a container upon which a series of tubular members are stacked. Each tubular member is adapted to slidably receive an elongated member and allows individual elongated members to be removed from the stack of tubular members regardless of their vertical position within the stack. Spacers are attached to the elongated members that are shorter than the tubular member holding the elongated member, so that the combined spacer-elongated members are accessible from either end of the tubular member. The tubular members project in a cantilever fashion from the container, the projecting ends being protected and supported by end bags. The end bags preclude the tubular members, as well as the elongated members therein, from moving longitudinally, and thereby prevent the awnings from sliding out of the tubular members during the shipment and storage thereof.

A method and system is provided for permanently and visibly marking reusable packing crates with a unique mark and using the mark to identify and track the crate in a manufacturing environment. The mark can include a two-dimensional barcode comprised of holes drilled through one or more sidewalls of the crate to produce a unique and permanent pattern for identification. The code can be used to identify a crate uniquely and to assign waypoint data, process management data and content data that can be stored in a computer database. The data can be used for tracking information capabilities and business intelligence in and for manufacturing management systems.

A reusable packaging system includes a series of four bags, each designed to be reusable and capable of standing upright when in an open state. The bags are constructed so that they will fit in an open state within a shopping cart, and differ progressively in size so that they can be nested inside of each other for storage. The present invention provides a reusable packaging system comprising an envelope having first and second substantially planar sides which are secured to one another so as to define a container having an open end, the first and second sides defining respective apertures there through in the vicinity of the open end of the envelope, the apertures being substantially aligned with one another and a closure member which is substantially planar, flexible and has opposing surfaces at least a portion of one of which carries an adhesive coating, the closure member being located adjacent the open end of the envelope such that the surface carrying the adhesive coating contacts itself through the apertures in the first end and second sides of the envelope. Also provided is a reusable envelope and a closure member for use in such a reusable packaging system.

An easy-open and reclosable package includes a pouch including a discrete tape including a base strip between first and second side panels; at least a first portion of the first surface of the strip coated with a pressure sensitive adhesive and adhered by the adhesive to the inner surface of the first panel at a first location, and the second surface of the strip anchored to the inner surface of the second side panel; a die cut in the first panel, defining a primary die cut segment so arranged that when the package is opened, it can be reclosed by adhering the adhesive to the first panel; and a product in the pouch. A secondary die cut segment can be disposed between the primary die cut segment and an end of the package. This secondary die cut can be at least partially underlain by the adhesive.

An easy-open and reclosable package includes a pouch including a discrete strip, between first and second side panels; including a sealing segment, a backing segment, and an intermediate layer including a pressure sensitive adhesive, the first surface of the strip anchored to the inner surface of the first panel at a first location, and the second surface of the strip anchored to the inner surface of the second side panel at a first location; a die cut in the first panel, defining a primary die cut segment so arranged that when the package is opened, it can be reclosed by adhering the adhesive to the first side panel; and a product in the pouch. The die cut segment is so arranged with respect to the base strip that when the package is opened, the package can be reclosed by adhering the pressure sensitive adhesive to the first side panel.

A supply roll of durable plastic wrapping material for use with a wrapping mechanism for wrapping cylindrical cotton modules formed in a module-forming chamber of a cotton harvester is made in lengths connected in end-to-end relationship with Velcro® hook and loop connections provided at opposite ends of each length and having sufficient holding strength for the leading length to remain connected to the following length during the wrapping process, but for permitting the leading length to separate from the following length when the supply roll is subjected to a braking force. Other Velcro® hook and loop connections are provided on the lengths of material for securing them about the module with their placement being such to permit modules from 5′ to 7.5′ in diameter to be wrapped using no more than two wraps of material. The lengths of wrapping material may be mechanically stripped from the modules at the gin and cleaned and mechanically reattached in end-to-end relationship and formed into rolls for reuse.

A reusable packaging case for an article comprises an inner foam layer having an interior cavity for holding the article. The inner foam layer surrounds at least a portion of the interior cavity. An outer foam layer substantially surrounds the inner foam layer The outer foam layer may have a density greater than the density of the inner foam layer. The inner foam layer may be formed using a plug having the same shape as the article to be later packaged in the case for shipping. The packaging case may optionally contain numerous additional inner foam layers of varying densities and thicknesses. Many substantially identical packaging cases, such as for shipping numerous identical articles coming off of an assembly line, may be formed using the plug.

An adjustable reusable modular packaging crate and assembly kit is purposed for safe transportation of preferably mostly two-dimensional items. Several latching corner subassemblies each hold two perpendicular frame extensions that may be locked into adjustable lengths to make crate frame sides. Sets of adjustable clamps interact with the item to be shipped and the crate frame, to assist in securing the item to be shipped. Extendable frame components allow for a frame that adjusts precisely to the size of the item to be shipped. Frame locks securely fix the dimensions of the packaging crate. Gusset subassemblies and cross-corner struts add rigidity to the crate. Corner, frame, strut, and gusset components interlock to create a rigid packaging crate. Frame links enable crate frame sides to be connected side-by-side, adding to the depth of the crate frame. The modular crate may be easily disassembled for low-space storage between uses, and easily reassembled for reuse.

The reusable packaging box includes a bottom unit that has a receiving space in which a product may be received, a lower body and an upper body that are provided to each have a box shape with open top and bottom to be coupled to a top of the bottom unit, and a lid that has a receiving space in which the product may be received and is coupled to the top of the upper body. Each of the bottom unit, the upper body and the lower body, and the lid is formed of a material that may absorb an impact and thus may perform both a function of absorbing an impact and a function of packaging an outside of the product.

A reusable packaging system is disclosed in which a series of thermoformed trays are used to mount six spider type office chair bases. Three bases are mounted in an inverted position on the tray and three bases are mounted upright. A stack of load trays may be constructed with the bottom-most tray fastened to a standard pallet. The stack is plastic wrapped and shipped. After unloading, empty trays may be stacked in a nested arrangement and returned for reuse making for a simple, reliable and inexpensive system.

A themolaminating film for receiving a blister portion in the construction of a reusable package is described. A base blister portion configured to receive some form of media or material is molded from a formable heat sealable polymer such as PETG. A film consisting of a first layer of an amorphous polyester such as APET for heat sealing to the PETG, a second layer of a polyester such as PET, and an adhesive layer is used to laminate a graphical paper based cover thereby allowing the laminated cover to be heat sealed to the blister portion. In a preferred embodiment, the PET and APET are preferably coextruded.
