Plastic wrap, cling film, shrink wrap, Saran wrap, cling wrap or food wrap is a thin plastic film typically used for sealing food items in containers to keep them fresh over a longer period of time. Plastic wrap, typically sold on rolls in boxes with a cutting edge, clings to many smooth surfaces and can thus remain tight over the opening of a container without adhesive. Common plastic wrap is roughly 0.0005 inches (12.7 μm) thick. The trend has been to produce thinner plastic wrap, particularly for household use (where very little stretch is needed), so now the majority of brands on shelves around the world are 8, 9 or 10 μm thick.

The invention relates to an antimicrobial moisturizing degradable porous gel preservative film and a preparation method and application thereof. The gel preservative film is formed by polymerizing a carboxyl or amido contained functional monomer, an inorganic nano-powder, biodegradable natural polymer, calcium-ion-contained salt, an inorganic antimicrobial agent and a reductant-oxidant in a water solution. A gel three-dimensional network porous structure is used for spontaneously adjusting gas components inside the film, and the natural polymer is adopted, so that the antimicrobial moisturizing degradable porous gel preservative film has the advantages of being wide in source, biologically degradable, good in film forming property and the like; due to the high antimicrobial property of the inorganic antimicrobial agent, the defects that a traditional preservative film is high in pollution, short in storage period, high in cost, hard to recycle, complex in technology and the like are avoided, and the antimicrobial moisturizing degradable porous gel preservative film can partially replace cardboards, water absorption sponges, ice blocks or plastics and other preservative materials. The preparation method is easy and convenient to implement, capable of promoting large-scale production, long in preservation time, good in permeability, and capable of effectively slowing down the food rotting speed, thereby being applied to food, fruit, vegetable transportation, storage, delivery, assembling, disassembling, storage and preservation in the edible process.

Apparatus and method for dispensing stretch wrap

An apparatus for covering goods, and goods stacked on a pallet with plastic wrap supplied in a roll comprises: a) a roll head adapted to rotatably carry the roll of plastic wrap, the roll head having a friction mechanism so that ease of rotation of the roll with respect to the head is controlled thereby facilitating stretching the wrap around the goods after an end portion of the wrap is initially secured adjacent to the goods; and, b) an elongate handle portion carrying the roll head and extending therefrom in a direction generally parallel to the axis of the roll of plastic wrap. A method of wrapping goods stacked on a pallet with plastic wrap supplied in a roll comprising the steps of: a) elevating the pallet and the goods stacked thereon so that there is sufficient clearance to readily pass the roll of plastic wrap beneath the pallet; b) providing a wrap apparatus as defined above; c) loading the roll head of the apparatus with a roll of plastic wrap; d) attaching an end portion of the plastic wrap to one of the pallet and the goods stacked thereon; and then, e) with the user standing adjacent to the elevated pallet having the goods stacked thereon, encircling the pallet and goods thereon with the roll head, by generally moving the handle in an outline of a cone, thereby encircling and securing the goods and pallet together with plastic wrap.

A fruit and vegetable millipore preservative film comprises the following components of 100 portions of low-density polyethylene resin, 20 portions of ethene-vinyl acetate resin, 10 portions of linear polyethylene resin, 13 portions of superfine calcium carbonate, 8 portions of superfine medical stone, one portion of Tween 80, 0.5-1.5 portions of antifogging agent, 1.5 portions of SWJU-1 anlistatig, 0.5 portions of antioxidizer1076 and 0.6 portions of polyethylene wax. After organized processing by acetic acid, inorganic functional materials are used to prepare master batch together with polyethylene base material and other functional components by coextrusion; the materials are mixed through diatexis according to the proportion; blow molding is carried out on a single screw extruder; a film is formed through bidirectional biaxial tension in a longitudinal and transverse way; and the rotate speed of the screw and the traction speed are adjusted to ensure that the aperture of the millipore of the formed film is 0.1-3 microns, and the poriness is 40-55 percent. The manufactured film has bidirectional adjusting ability of O2 and CO2, and therefore, when used for small-package storage, the film can spontaneously adjust air and has good moisture permeability without condensation of moisture in the bag.

The invention relates to a water soluble preservative film for fruits and vegetables and a preparation method of the preservative film. The water soluble preservative film for the fruits and vegetables is mainly prepared by the following materials in percentage in weight: 50 to 80% of polyvinyl alcohol with alcoholysis degree of less than 90%; 10 to 30% of polyhydroxy plasticizer, 1 to 5% of auxiliary film forming agent, 3 to 8% of low temperature antifreeze agent, 3 to 10% of adsorbent filling agent and 0.3 to 2% of film-forming adding additive. The preparation method comprises the following two steps of: 1, after metering contents of components of the preservative film in the formula, obtaining a uniform aqueous solution with concentration of 15 to 25% in water; and 2, uniformly casting the prepared solution on a clear steel band, and drying the solution to obtain the film through a dried drying tunnel with temperature of 120 to 180 DEG C. The preservative film has a high barrier property against oxygen, carbon dioxide and nitrogen and the like, and has a high bidirectional permeable exchange capacity for steam, thereby guaranteeing free breathing and water exchange of the fruits and vegetables in a preserving process.
