A device for manipulating intrathoracic pressures comprises a compressible bag structure, and an interface member coupled to the bag structure. A one way forward valve is coupled to the bag structure to permit respiratory gas to flow to the patient when the bag structure is compressed. A one way exit valve is employed to allow respiratory gases to be pulled from the person's airway upon decompression of the bag structure to produce a negative intrathoracic pressure.

Devices, systems, and methods are disclosed which relate to a catheter cap which seals a reservoir of a catheter introducer. The catheter cap secures over an introducer tip to prevent airflow into the introducer tip. The catheter cap utilizes an elongated stem to block a distal opening of the reservoir to further prevent airflow. A lip of the catheter cap may further engage an insertion stop point of the catheter introducer to secure the catheter cap. The catheter cap ensures proper lubrication of the introducer tip and the catheter during insertion of the catheter into the urethra of a user.

Many holes are formed in a platen that is so disposed as to confront a printing head. A suction fan disposed under the platen generates suction force through the holes formed in the platen to thereby bring a paper into close contact with a surface of the platen. On a back surface of the platen, disposed is an airflow restriction plate formed with openings that correspond to a part of the holes in the platen. Before a leading edge of the paper arrives at the platen, the airflow restriction plate closes the holes. The structural frame (12), to which an electronic circuit board (14) containing a heat generating electronic component (16) is mounted, is injection molded from a thermally conductive, net-shape moldable polymer composition. The electronic component (16) that is within the device (10) is in thermal communication with the structural frame (12), so that the heat generated within the device (10) is transferred to the frame (14) and dissipated from the heat-generating device (10). An outer case (22) may be mounted to the frame (12) to finish the device (10) or the frame (12) may serve as all or a part of the outer device case (22) as well. In addition, the structural frame (12) has characteristics that may be engineered and used to shield the device (10) from electromagnetic interference.

A mounting apparatus for fixing an expansion card includes a connector configured for engagingly receiving a bottom portion of the expansion card, and a latching member made by thin strip material. The latching member includes a top wall, and two sidewalls extending down from opposite sides of the top wall configured for sandwiching the expansion card therebetween. An elastic tab extends between the sidewalls from the top wall, configured for elastically resisting against a top of the expansion card. A clipping portion is formed on a bottom of each sidewall, to engage with the connector.

A hygiene-maintaining device of an underpressure-activated valve (2) for a drinking receptacle. Whilst in position of use, the valve (2) encloses a downstream side of an outlet opening (12) in a partition (6) associated with the drinking receptacle. The partition (6) may be a wall portion of the drinking receptacle, or a wall portion of a cap (4) for the receptacle. The valve (2) comprises a movable operating member, a bracing element (24, 70) and a seal member (22) that, whilst in position of rest, seals off said partition opening (12). The operating member is connected to a suction chamber (50) within which an underpressure (P2) may be established in order to activate and move the operating member into a valve-opening position. Thereby, liquid may flow out via the partition opening (12) and further onwards through a liquid outlet path in the valve (2), the operating member being pressure-balanced against the ambient pressure (P1) of the drinking receptacle. The suction chamber (50) is connected to at least one activation opening (52) through which the underpressure (P2) in the chamber (50) may be established. The distinctive characteristic of the invention is that the suction chamber (50) is separated from said liquid outlet path through the valve (2), which fully or partially prevents liquid residues from entering into the suction chamber (50) so as to create subsequent unhygienic conditions therein.

The computer cover is a specially constructed cover for computers adapted to cover the entire computer case or monitor, including the vents and fans. A Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery (MVHR) system for a building having a roof with at least two pitched slopes facing in different directions, the MVHR system comprising a Heat Recovery Unit (HRU) for receiving and exchanging heat between a flow of ambient air from outside the building and a flow of building air from within the building, the HRU being connected by fluid flow conduits to first and second ports located on different pitched slopes, in which a flow diverter is provided in the conduits between the HRU and the ports, the flow diverter being switchable between a first state in which ambient air flows from the first port to the HRU and into the building and building air flows from the HRU to the second port to be exhausted from the building, and a second state in which ambient air flows from the second port to the HRU and into the building and building air flows from the HRU to the first port to be exhausted from the building. The system can be combined with photovoltaic solar cells and/or an air source heat pump and/or a ground source heat pump system.

The invention relates to an arrangement for dividing a space into a plurality of areas, said arrangement comprising at least one frame with at least one fixing means for holding the frame in corresponding frame receiving elements, and at least one foldable defining means. The frame is formed in such a way that the arrangement essentially fits onto at least one wall of the space when it is fixed, the foldable defining means being able to be held on the frame and preventing an air flow between adjacent areas of the space separated by the arrangement. The arrangement according to the invention enables a thermal separation of two adjacent areas of a space, that can each be air-conditioned differently, without forming an area containing air which is a mixture from two regions at different temperatures.

An exemplary mounting apparatus includes a connector and two latching mechanisms connected to two opposite ends of the connector. The connector defines a slot in a top surface thereof, and two sliding grooves in two opposite side surfaces thereof. Each sliding groove extends though the two side surfaces. Each latching mechanisms includes a guide pin and a latching member. The guide pin is slidably received in a corresponding sliding groove.
