Online publishing tools

Online publishing tools, which provide browser-based publishing services available through the Internet for preparing content for publication, include a preview interface which generates and displays an accurate representation of the client's work, with proportionately correct size, font, format and positioning, as well as an edit interface which generates a less precise but editable version of the client's work. Preview files used for displaying previews on the preview interface, and which can incorporate edits made on the edit interface, include typesetting information, positioning information, hot zones information, images of text and links to omitted content. Some preview files provide preview information for less than the client's entire document that is being worked on. Interfaces are also used to move and modify sections of content contained in the body of the client's work, of any size, through simple drag and drop processes implemented on elements of a corresponding table of contents.

Novel carbon nanotubes synthesis continuous process using iron floating catalysts and MgO particles for CVD of methane in a fluidized bed reactor

A novel continuous process is used for production of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) by catalytic chemical vapor deposition (CCVD) of methane on iron floating catalyst in-situ deposited on MgO in a fluidized bed reactor. In the hot zone of the reactor, sublimed ferrocene vapors were contacted with MgO powder fluidized by methane feed to produce Fe / MgO catalyst in-situ. An annular tube was used to enhance the ferrocene and MgO contacting efficiency. Multi-wall as well as single-wall CNTs were grown on the Fe / MgO catalyst while falling down the reactor. The CNTs were continuously collected at the bottom of the reactor, only when MgO powder was used. The annular tube enhanced the contacting efficiency and improved both the quality and quantity of CNTs. The SEM and TEM micrographs of the products reveal that the CNTs are mostly entangled bundles with diameters of about 20 nm. Raman spectra show that the CNTs have low amount of amorphous carbon with IG / ID ratios as high as 10.2 for synthesis at 900° C. The RBM Raman peaks indicate formation of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) of 1.0-1.2 nm diameter.

Vehicle headlamp

InactiveUS6953272B2Efficiently enhancing luminosity of hot zoneImprove luminosityVehicle headlampsPoint-like light sourceLuminous intensityShortest distance
A vehicle headlamp having a projector-type lamp unit that enhances a luminous intensity of a hot zone at the time of high beam irradiation is described. A first additional reflector is provided obliquely left-upward of an optical axis Ax, and a second additional reflector is provided obliquely right-downward of the optical axis Ax, between a reflector and a projection lens. An additional light distribution pattern is formed in a center area of a high beam distribution pattern by reflecting direct light, which has entered the first additional reflector from a light source, obliquely right-downward and then forward by the second additional reflector, at the time of high beam irradiation. A reflective surface of the first additional reflector is formed like an ellipsoid spherical surface having the second focus on the right side with respect to the optical axis A (the second reflector side). This makes the additional light distribution pattern into a pattern with a narrow vertical width, and enhances a luminosity of the hot zone without making a short distance area of a road surface at the front of the vehicle excessively luminous.
