An occluding hearing aid having anti-occlusion effect techniques combined with at least one improvement which, in the preferred embodiment, includes enhancement of acoustic output in the lower-midrange and bass frequency regions, typically between substantially 40 and 500 Hz, which regions are crucial for natural reproduction of multimedia sound and music but are not optimally processed, and generally not provided at all, in prior art hearing aids in order to avoid exacerbation of the occlusion effect. In specific embodiments, the hearing aid of the present invention includes primary or first microphone exposed to external sound plus a secondary or second microphone exposed to sound within an ear canal, in which a signal produced by the secondary microphone is applied as negative feedback to an input of a non-gain controlling signal process and amplifier driving a hearing aid receiver (transducer), whereby, it has been determined by the present inventor, the occlusion effect may be substantially canceled. The hearing aid further comprises at least one of ten combinational improvements each providing substantial performance benefits over known techniques and devices.

A balanced armature transducer is provided. The balanced armature transducer is formed with components housed within a frame and includes a pair of magnets separated by a gap to form a Direct Current (DC) magnetic field, and an armature having one end positioned between the separated magnets and having another end curved upward and fixed to an upper portion of the frame.

A sound capture device is affixed to an acoustic instrument to capture the natural sound output of the instrument. The captured sound signal is routed to an electronic sound augmentation system that is configured to augment the captured sound with spatial sound effects such as reverb, echo, delay, etc. The processed and augmented sound is then reproduced via a vibrating driver that has been affixed to the body of the acoustic instrument. This creates a situation where the body of the musical instrument, responding to a series of vibrations produced by the vibrating driver, acts as a speaker component, reproducing a rich augmented sound output that comprises the sum of the sound produced by the original sound production capabilities of the acoustical instrument plus the added augmented or enhanced sound effects.

A speaker system with an enclosure having a pathway is presented. The speaker system includes an electro-acoustic transducer that generates sounds according to an audio input. The speaker system also includes an enclosure having an interior pathway defined by a wall that is curved substantially as a spiral. The invention pertains to improvements in stringed instruments, particularly plucked and/or strummed instruments with sound boxes and the string support structure of same. Two or more longitudinal braces connect to each of the lateral braces and provide the instrument's neck, body, and soundboard support against the constant stress of the strings. A bridge reinforcing means is also included and consists of two or more truss rods. The rods connect the upper body lateral brace to the bridge area and further counteract the tension of the strings thereby preventing damage to the bridge and soundboard.

The invention discloses an MEMS loudspeaker and a manufacturing method thereof. The MEMS loudspeaker comprises a substrate, a vibration assembly, a diaphragm and a connecting rod, wherein the base comprises a substrate and a supporting seat extending from one side of the substrate, and a first cavity is formed in the base body in the thickness direction in a penetrating mode; the supporting seat is annular and defines a second cavity communicated with the first cavity, and the inner diameter of the first cavity in the direction perpendicular to the thickness direction is less than that of thesecond cavity; the vibration assembly is fixed to the base and at least covers part of the first cavity; one end of the connecting rod is connected with the vibration assembly, and the other end of the connecting rod extends to the second cavity through the first cavity and is connected with the diaphragm; and the diaphragm is suspended in the second cavity and spaced from the inner wall of the supporting base. According to the MEMS loudspeaker provided by the invention, the diaphragm is driven by the vibration assembly to perform piston motion to generate sound, so that more air with larger volume can be exhausted in unit time, and the sound output of the MEMS loudspeaker is improved.

The present invention provides a system for producing vibratical unification of components of a musical instrument comprised of a soundboard, a plurality of strings, a bridge system, a neck, and a body. The system acoustically interconnects the major sound components of the musical instrument in a time-correct sound transfer loop. An acoustically high sound conductivity material selected from the group comprising minerals, ceramics, metals, and combinations thereof, is employed as an interconnect member to produce a balanced, compressed, and naturally equalized sound, with extreme clarity and sustain, and with minimal distortion. The low end sound that is produced by the unified components are coherent, tight, and well defined. The acoustically high sound conductivity material has a specific gravity on the order of at least 2, and preferably at least the specific gravity on the order of the specific gravity of granite. Advantageously, the specific gravity is at least four, and can be six or higher.

A flat panel speaker. The speaker includes a drive unit made up of a signal oscillation radiator the winding of which promotes oscillating rather than translational movement of the radiator. Such a configuration allows the speaker to operate at a broad range of frequencies.
