Wireless audio-video doorbell monitoring system

The present invention pertains to a wireless audio-video doorbell monitoring system, wherein a portable monitoring device administrates a doorbell device and detective devices. After initiation, the monitoring device calls other nearby devices to form a wireless network via a wireless broadcasting way, and then the monitoring device administrates each device to perform the doorbell or detection function. Via the automatic setup and simple operating interface, the present invention enables a general family to be free from a complex operational procedure. In the present invention, the detective device can sense the image and sound of the monitored regions, which is sent to a display panel and a speaker of the monitoring device without a time lag. Accordingly, the present invention provides an instantaneously-displaying and easy-operated wireless audio-video doorbell monitoring system, which is easy installed, automatically set up, highly securing, able to reduce the power consumption efficiently and suitable for a general family usage.

Constant bitrate media encoding techniques

InactiveUS20050015259A1Regulates bitrateSimple processSpeech analysisOne passQuality level
CBR control strategies provide constant or relatively constant bitrate output with variable quality. The control strategies include various techniques and tools, which can be used in combination or independently. For example, an audio encoder uses a trellis in two-pass or delayed-decision CBR encoding. The trellis nodes are states derived by quantizing buffer fullness values. The transitions between nodes of a previous stage and nodes of a current stage depend on encoding a current chunk of audio at different quality levels. When pruning the trellis, the encoder uses a cost function that considers smoothness in quality as well as quality in absolute terms. The encoder may store compressed data at different quality levels, then output the compressed data after simplification of the trellis to a suitable point. If the two-pass or delayed-decision CBR encoding fails, the encoder uses one-pass CBR encoding for the sequence or part of the sequence.

Tungsten deposition sequence

Methods of filling gaps with tungsten are described. The methods include a tungsten dep-etch-dep sequence to enhance gapfilling yet avoid difficulty in restarting deposition after the intervening etch. The first tungsten deposition may have a nucleation layer or seeding layer to assist growth of the first tungsten deposition. Restarting deposition with a less-than-conductive nucleation layer would impact function of an integrated circuit, and therefore avoiding tungsten “poisoning” during the etch is desirable. The etching step may be performed using a plasma to excite a halogen-containing precursor while the substrate at relatively low temperature (near room temperature or less). The plasma may be local or remote. Another method may be used in combination or separately and involves the introduction of a source of oxygen into the plasma in combination with the halogen-containing precursor.

Clock distribution network planning and method therefor

A method for planning the clock distribution network in the conceptual design phase of an ASIC device is provided herein that comprises partitioning the technology-independent description of the device into partitioned groups based on the clocking time of the clock recipients in each of the partitioned groups. In addition, a clock budgeting plan is generated by creating target timing groups and assigning each of the partitioned groups to one of the target timing groups based on the clocking time of the clock recipients in each of the partitioned groups. The clock recipients in each of the target timing groups clock at a substantially same time and clock recipients in different target groups clock at different times. The clock distribution network is created based on the clock budgeting plan such that the clock distribution network provides a clock signal to clock recipients in each of the target timing groups in a manner that the clock recipients in each of the target timing groups are clocked together at a substantially same time.

Stall detection circuit and method

A stall detection circuit and method for a stepper motor. The circuit has an H-bridge configuration with an additional circuit pathway to ground being connected at a point between two center windings. During the transition between step sequences, the circuit employs a monitoring phase in which the previously active low side driver is turned off such that current passes through only the first winding and then is diverted to ground via the additional pathway. While the phase voltage is thus momentarily extinguished, the second coil is used to monitor the motor's back EMF, from which it can be determined whether the rotor is in a normal running mode, a stall, or a reverse condition.

Method and apparatus for determining the area or confluency of a sample

The area or confluency of a sample is determined by obtaining quantitative phase data relating to the sample and background surrounding the sample. The boundary of the sample is determined from the quantitative phase data by forming a histogram of phase data measurements and taking the derivative of the histogram to thereby determine the point of maximum slope. The line of best fit on the derivative is used to obtain a data value applicable to the boundary so that data values either above or below the determined data value are deemed within the sample.

Surround gate access transistors with grown ultra-thin bodies

A vertical transistor having an annular transistor body surrounding a vertical pillar, which can be made from oxide. The transistor body can be grown by a solid phase epitaxial growth process to avoid difficulties with forming sub-lithographic structures via etching processes. The body has ultra-thin dimensions and provides controlled short channel effects with reduced need for high doping levels. Buried data / bit lines are formed in an upper surface of a substrate from which the transistors extend. The transistor can be formed asymmetrically or offset with respect to the data / bit lines. The offset provides laterally asymmetric source regions of the transistors. Continuous conductive paths are provided in the data / bit lines which extend adjacent the source regions to provide better conductive characteristics of the data / bit lines, particularly for aggressively scaled processes.
