2 results about "Choy sum" patented technology

Choy sum (also spelled choi sum or "cai xin" using Pinyin) is a leafy vegetable commonly used in Chinese cuisine. It is a member of the genus Brassica of the mustard family, Brassicaceae (Brassica rapa var. parachinensis or Brassica chinensis var. parachinensis). Choy sum is a transliteration of the Cantonese name (Chinese: 菜心), which can be literally translated as "heart of the vegetable". It is also known as Chinese flowering cabbage.

A preparation for promoting plant growth and degrading soil phthalate esters and application thereof

PendingCN122320036ABrassicaceaePlant growth
This invention relates to the fields of agricultural biotechnology and environmental remediation technology, specifically to a novel, highly efficient, and safe formulation for promoting plant growth and degrading soil phthalates, and its application. The formulation comprises (R)-5-hydroxymethyldihydrofuran-2-one and water. Experiments have shown that (R)-5-hydroxymethyldihydrofuran-2-one, at a concentration of 0.01 mM, has a significant growth-promoting effect on cruciferous vegetable Chinese flowering cabbage (Pachira aquatica), while simultaneously accelerating the degradation of dibutyl phthalate (DBP) in the soil, achieving a dual function. Experiments also show that applying 0.01 mM of A-like to DBP-contaminated soil significantly increases the plant height, root length, and biomass of Chinese flowering cabbage, promotes earlier flowering, and reduces the residual amount of DBP in the soil by 77.2%, with a degradation promotion rate exceeding 62%.

Transcription factor gene BrRAV8 for delaying senescence of flowering cabbage leaves and application of transcription factor gene BrRAV8

PendingCN122071707APlant peptidesFermentationBiotechnologyBrassica
The invention provides a BrRAV8 gene for delaying flowering cabbage leaf senescence and application of the BrRAV8 gene. A nucleotide sequence of the BrRAV8 gene is shown as SEQ ID NO.1, or has a nucleotide sequence complementary with the sequence shown as SEQ ID NO.1, or has 75% or more homology with the nucleotide sequence shown as SEQ ID NO.1, and the BrRAV8 gene can also be coded to participate in plant senescence regulation and control, and can be applied to plant senescence regulation and control. The invention particularly relates to a DNA molecule for inhibiting leaf senescence protein. The gene BrRAV8 can participate in the senescence regulation and control process, the senescence of leaves of the flowering cabbage is inhibited, and the shelf life of the harvested flowering cabbage is prolonged.
