A crop harvesting header includes a center portion mounted on two spring arms and two separate wings pivotally connected to the center portion. The wings are connected to the center portion by interconnecting linkages which transfer weight from the wings to the spring arms each including a balance beam arranged to balance the lifting force from the spring arm with the downward forces from the center portion and wing such that the downward force on a skid plate of each portion on the ground varies automatically as the total downward force is varied. The balance beams apply force to the linkages by a compression member to reduce forces. The movement caused by floating of the header and the change of angle of the header are compensated at the balance beam to ensure that the force to the wings is reduced as the requirement caused by changes in geometry reduces.

A device for stabilizing a patient's head on a spine board while allowing longitudinal and rotational movement in conjunction with the body and a method of use for the device are disclosed. The device is comprised of a head harness, a forehead strap, a chin strap, a crown strap and a lateral stabilization strap. The head harness has a skid plate, located on the side of the head harness that rests on a spine board, that is adapted for low friction engagement with the spine board. A patient in a cervical collar is placed on a spine board, the head harness is positioned beneath the patient's head and attached to the spine board. The forehead strap, chin strap, and crown strap are attached to the head harness. The lateral stabilization strap is then attached to the head harness and the attaching straps.

A corn head includes plural pairs of first and second laterally spaced rotating stalk rolls each having outer fluting and plural outer arrays of spaced knife members extending along the length of each stalk roll. Corn stalks are directed by rotating pick-up cones each disposed forward of a respective stalk roll into the space between adjacent stalk rolls, where the stalks are directed downwardly through the inter-roll space and are reduced by the cutting action of the rotating knives. An improved pedal/cleat assembly provides a float range that is easily and precisely adjusted. The pedal/cleat assembly includes a pedal assembly incorporating a forward cleat retainer and a spring-biased rearward cleat retainer, and it further includes a cleat assembly that defines forward and rearward projections sized and configured to engage and be retained by the respective forward and rearward cleat retainers. The cleat assembly includes a first cleat body that defines the forward and rearward projections, and it further includes a second cleat body configured to be attached to the underside of a rider's shoe and to be secured to the first cleat body in a manner that allows limited rotation relative to the first cleat body about a cleat rotation axis. The first cleat body is free to rotate by an angular amount that is controlled by a pair of set screws. This provides a pedal float that is easily and precisely adjustable.

The crop lifter and air assist feeding assembly for a floating cutter bar header includes a lower tube that is generally horizontal. An upper tube is fixed to the front end of the horizontal tube and extends upwardly and rearwardly to an air discharge orifice. A vine lifting rod is attached to the upper tube. A compaction wheel (20) for landfill compactors is disclosed. The compaction wheel (20) includes a rim (21) and a plurality of cleats (50, 80) secured thereto with a plurality of spring clips (51). The rim (21) includes an exterior surface (30), an interior surface (31), and a plurality of cleat-receiving apertures (33) extending therethrough between the exterior and interior surfaces (30, 31). Each of the cleats (50, 80) includes a ground-engaging portion (52), a lug portion (53) extending from the ground-engaging portion (52), and a clip-receiving aperture (54, 55) extending through the lug portion (53). Each of the cleats (50, 80) being mountable on the rim (21) such that the ground-engaging portions (52) project from the exterior surface (30) of the rim (21) while the lug portions (53) extend through the cleat-receiving apertures (33) of the rim (21) so that the clip-receiving apertures (54, 55) are situated adjacent the interior surface (31) of the rim (21) and lateral movement of the cleats (50, 80) relative to the rim (21) is inhibited. The spring clips (51) being adapted to secure the mounted cleats (50, 80) to the rim (21) by engaging with the clip-receiving apertures (54, 55) and interacting with the rim and cleats such that the ground-engaging portions (52) of the cleats (50, 80) are pulled towards the rim (21).

A pipe plug includes two or more pivotally connected plugging heads that work in combination to double block and bleed a pipe. At least one of the plugging heads has an expandable sealing element that is in communication with an inflation source. The sealing element may be an inflatable sealing element or a compression packer sealing element. A cleat cover for protecting and adding traction to a cleat plate of a bicycle shoe is disclosed. The cleat cover comprises a cover body that includes a main opening at a middle portion and an extended opening at a peripheral edge. A bridge area is present at the side of the cover body for conserving grip on the cleat. The opening of the cover body allows a bicycle pedal to lock into a bicycle cleat while allowing the cover body to remain on the cleat. The cover body covers a plurality of screws and parts that attach the cleat plate. The cleat cover allows a bicyclist to leave the cover on the cleat at all times; when riding, at stops, and when walking on various hard surfaces. Thus, it prevents the cleat plate from unnecessary wear when the bicycle shoe contacts the ground. The bicyclist does not have to remember to remove and replace the cover. The cover body can be releasably engaged with the cleat on the bicycle shoe.
