An ECMO arterial catheter that can change the direction of perfusion blood flow

This invention relates to the field of medical device technology, specifically an ECMO arterial catheter capable of altering the direction of perfusion blood flow. The catheter comprises a tube body with openings at both ends. The right end of the tube body is a pre-flush section, the middle end is a buffer section, and the left end is a perfusion section. The perfusion section includes a central lumen and three side lumens. The central lumen is located in the middle of the inner part of the tube body, and three equally divided septa are located on the outer periphery of the central lumen, dividing the tube body into three side lumens. The inner wall of the left end of each side lumen is a blood flow redirection surface. This invention, by designing the arterial catheter lumen as a central lumen with forward blood flow and three side lumens with redirected blood flow, maximizes the alignment of the blood flow direction in the ECMO arterial catheter with the physiological direction, reduces the adverse effects of ECMO on left ventricular output and damage to the vascular endothelium, and improves hemodynamic stability and safety during VA-ECMO implementation.
