40 results about "Electric outboard motor" patented technology

Electric outboard motors are an option for boat propulsion. Most electric outboard motors have 0.5 to 4 kW direct current electric motors, operated at 12 to 60 volts DC. These systems have the propeller fixed directly to the motor, which is mounted in the lower unit under water – see trolling motor. This setup limits the power output. Recently developed outboard motors are powered with an alternating current or DC electric motor in the power head like a conventional petrol engine. With this setup, a motor can produce 10 kW output or more and is able to replace a petrol engine of 15 HP or more. The advantage of the induction or asynchronous motor is the power transfer to the rotor by means of electromagnetic induction. As these engines do not use permanent magnets, they require less maintenance and develop more torque at lower RPM.

Remote-control electric outboard motor propeller

The invention discloses a remote-control electric outboard motor propeller. The remote-control electric outboard motor propeller comprises a base, a shell, a direction assembly, a propelling assemblyand a clamping assembly. The shell of a hollow structure is arranged on the upper portion of the base, and the clamping assembly is arranged on the lower portion of the base; and the direction assembly is arranged at the end, away from the clamping assembly, of the upper portion of the base and located inside the shell, a direction shaft in the direction assembly extends out of the base downwardsand is movably connected with the propelling assembly, and a reinforcing plate is connected between the direction shaft and the clamping assembly. According to the remote-control electric outboard motor propeller, the mechanical structure and an electronic control technology are combined, so that remote control over operation such as advancing, steering and backing-up of the propeller is achieved,a person does not need to operate a direction lever manually while conducting outdoor activities, and outdoor fun is greatly improved; and by arranging the base, a first clamping plate and a second clamping plate, mounting and demounting are facilitated, the mounting force-bearing area of the propeller is increased, and the stability of the propeller is improved.
