The invention relates to a
liquid crystal lens device with a double-
layered structure and a preparation method of the
liquid crystal lens device with the double-
layered structure. The device comprises a first substrate, a second substrate, a third substrate, a first
liquid crystal layer and a second liquid
crystal layer, wherein the first substrate, the second substrate and the third substrate are overlapped; the first liquid
crystal layer is positioned between the first substrate and the second substrate; the second liquid
crystal layer is positioned between the second substrate and the third substrate; a first
electrode used as a common
electrode is arranged on the first substrate; a second layered
electrode group and a third layered electrode group are separately arranged on the second substrate and the third substrate; and the first electrode, electrodes in the second layered electrode group and electrodes in the third layered electrode group are made of transparent conductive substances. The device has characteristics of positive and negative lenses, under the condition that the
voltage tuning of the liquid crystal lens with the double-
layered structure is the same as that of a liquid crystal lens with a single-layered structure, the short
focal length of the lens is almost halved, an adjustable range is expanded, aberration is improved obviously,
light beam steering is controllable, and a point of view moves in the left-right direction and the up-down direction horizontally and vertically in space; and the characteristic of the lens is improved by adjustment of
voltage applied to the electrodes, and the quality of 3D imaging is improved.
