34 results about "Ground proximity warning system" patented technology

A Ground Proximity Warning System (GPWS) is a system designed to alert pilots if their aircraft is in immediate danger of flying into the ground or an obstacle. The United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) defines GPWS as a type of terrain awareness warning system (TAWS). More advanced systems, introduced in 1996, are known as enhanced ground proximity warning systems (EGPWS), although sometimes called terrain awareness warning systems.

The invention discloses a voice warning circuit for a ground proximity warning system. The circuit is characterized by mainly comprising a main processor, a voice chip, a high-pass filtering circuit, an audio amplifier, a balanced circuit driver, an audio transformer and a connector, wherein the main processor is connected with the voice chip and is continuously connected with the high-pass filtering circuit and the audio amplifier; the audio amplifier is further connected to the balanced circuit driver, is continuously connected to the audio transformer and then is connected to the connector. The voice warning circuit for the ground proximity warning system uses an integrated voice chip, can output audios with the maximum sampling rate of 12 kHz, is clear in voice, high in tone quality, adjustable in sound volume and simple to control, and satisfies the requirement of the ground proximity warning system which outputs various different warning voices. The circuit comprises the functions of filtration, amplification, converting a single-end to differential, impedance matching, isolation and the like, can satisfy the electric requirement of an avionics device on an audio interface, and overcomes the defects in the prior art.
