The supports of the present invention further comprise a frame strut extending across a lower portion of the support frame. Two openings are defined in the frame strut which are adapted to receive ends of an expansion limiter piece. This limiter piece is generally V-shaped and has connection means at the end of each of the V legs for connection to frame struts of adjacent hose supports. The vertex of the limiter piece is located proximal to a vertex formed by the hinge of adjacent hose supports. At the vertex of the limiter piece and at locations near the connection means, living hinges are formed so that a user will experience relatively little resistance to opening, accordion-style, the invention hose supports.

An inclined support system for a drain hose enhances drainage of wastewater from a holding tank of a recreational vehicle to a disposal facility. The support system includes one or more sawhorse-like fixtures with legs having slanted lower edges in contact with the ground to provide an inclined drain hose supporting cross member. The legs pivot about the cross member and upon insertion of the drain hose intermediate the legs above the cross member, the upper ends of the legs bear thereagainst to define and stabilize the cant or splay of the legs. Upon removal of the hose, the elements of the fixture are foldable to a compact flattened configuration for storage. In another embodiment, one or more slotted cylindrical elements serve as a support for the drain hose. A plurality of pairs of descending length legs are detachably attachable within opposed channels depending from the support to place the support at an incline and enhance the flow of fluid through the drain hose. The support also serves as a storage unit for the drain hose when the drain hose is in its longitudinally compressed state.

An insertion tool for inserting a fitting into a hose including a handle with a trigger parallelly disposed relative to an elongated translation rod movable in one direction including a fitting holder releasably mounted on the translation rod. A bell crank and linkage system connects the trigger to the translation rod for longitudinal movement and enhances the mechanical advantage to facilitate the insertion of the fitting into the hose. The hose holder is adjustable to accommodate different diameter hoses and the fitting holder can be changed to accommodate different shaped and sized fittings. The insertion tool can be used to insert the fitting into the hose while these units are in the ground or it can be oriented and changed to accommodate insertions at various attitudes. A knife is attached to the translation rod to allow the translation rod to be positioned to remove the hose from its fittings. A hose cutter is carried by the insertion tool and can be mounted on the translation rod to cut the length of the hose to a particular size.
