The present disclosure describes a method and apparatus for performing multiple measurements on a boxing punch (or other similar push action in motion). These measurements may provide force, acceleration, four types of response times, 3D angle, velocity, accuracy / precision, rate of force development, straight punch (pricking or cross punch) efficiency, SPR
metrics (force, precision, response times), and / or other information. The apparatus to make related measurements uses one or more force sensors and one or more
motion sensors that are embedded in boxing gloves and / or objects that are punched (pushed) (e.g., sandbags or mittens). If a tablet screen is used to make a
fist area and display an opponent, a set of position sensors may be used to measure the accuracy of the
fist (push). These novel methods and devices may be used for boxing (or push) testing, evaluation and training activities, as well as for fitness and sports games.
