The invention relates to a preparation method and application of a storage-stable low-
viscosity quinacridone pigment for water-based ink. The closed-loop material is subjected to small-amount sulfonation to form a small amount of sulfonated derivatives, so that the particle size of the
pigment can be effectively reduced, and the
viscosity of the
pigment in water-based ink is reduced. During
precipitation,
ammonium salt,
ferrous salt and the like are added into a
precipitation material, so that more
crystal nucleuses can be formed during
precipitation of the pigment, fine crude pigment particles are obtained, the particle size of the pigment is further reduced, the pigment is easy to homogenize, and the
viscosity of the pigment in ink is reduced. In the pigment curing process, proper solvents and treatment conditions are selected, so that pigment
crystal particles grow more uniformly. During pigment surface treatment, pigment derivatives (sulfonates and the like) are added, the viscosity of the pigment in the water-based ink can be effectively reduced, meanwhile,
sulfonic acid groups can provide large steric hindrance, the pigment in the ink is prevented from being gathered, the pigment is more stable and does not flocculate in an application
system, and the storage stability of the pigment in the water-based ink is improved.
