The image display method comprises the following steps that first, the optical lens is reversed in a virtual mode according to the optical parameters of the optical lens to obtain a virtual reversed lens, the objective image of the reversed lens is reversed to the objective image of the optical lens; second, the distortion coefficients of the three color components of RGB are calculated according to the optical parameters of the reverted lens after the color components pass through the reverted lens, and serve as a1, a2 and a3 respectively; third, pixel points of a predictive display image are amplified a1 times, a2 times and a3 times respectively, so that the three RGB color components of each pixel point is obtained to form a compensatory image after the pixel point is distorted, and a compensatory image is formed; fourth, after the compensatory image is output to the display screen and displayed, the compensatory image is displayed as a normal image through the optical lens. The invention relates to a compensation method of a display and the display. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring information of a plurality of samples of the display; determining a plurality of first compensation tables for compensating the display according to the information of the plurality of samples; transforming the plurality of first compensation tables to generate a plurality of transformed second compensation tables; and compensating the display based on the plurality of second compensation tables. According to the method, the information of the multiple pieces of samples of the display is obtained, then the multiple first compensation tables used for compensating the display are determined according to the information of the multiple pieces of samples, then the multiple first compensation tables are converted to generate the multiple converted second compensation tables, and finally the display is compensated based on the multiple second compensation tables. The method can predict the phenomenon of non-uniform display of the whole display, eliminates the influence of the difference between different samples, further improves the phenomenon of non-uniform display of the display, saves the working time, and reduces the compensation cost of the display.
