The invention relates to the technical field of
composite material manufacturing, in particular to a non-slitting carbon
fiber prepreg
narrow band based on a hot melting method and a preparation method thereof.The
narrow band is directly formed by dipping
thermoplastic resin into a single or multiple
carbon fibers through hot melting, and slitting is not needed. The preparation method comprises the steps of
fiber selection and combination,
fiber pretreatment, resin heating and melting, hot melting and dipping, molding, cooling and shaping and rolling. In the fiber pretreatment stage, fiber broadening and directional arrangement are achieved through
tension control, and in the hot melting impregnation stage, sealing
atmosphere protection is adopted to guarantee the resin performance. The
narrow band prepared by the method is neat in edge without damage, uniform in fiber arrangement and excellent in width and performance uniformity, and can adapt to automatic laying processes of different specifications; in the preparation process, material loss is reduced,
raw material utilization rate is increased, production flow is shortened, and production cost is reduced; meanwhile, the
interface bonding quality of the fibers and the resin is guaranteed, so that the narrow band has good mechanical properties and
heat resistance.
