Methods and systems for distributing information within a dynamically defined community

One embodiment of the present invention distributes data via a network to remotely located users. Historical purchase information for a first user is stored in a database. Authorization is received over a network from the first user allowing a second user to view at least a portion of the historical purchase information. In addition, the first user selectively specifies which historical purchase information may be viewed by the second customer. An electronic notification is transmitted to the second user, wherein the notification informs the second user of the first user's authorization.

Systems and methods of enabling integrated activity scheduling, sharing and real-time social connectivity through an event-sharing platform

Embodiments herein provide for an interactive event-scheduling platform (ESP), wherein locating activities via location data, notifying and alerting of them via real-time feeds and encouraging interaction through a full-service social media suite (SMS), enhanced with live streaming and “always-on” connectivity, could provide a fresh experience for users and hosts. A real-time data procuring system and method may solve problems with stale or incomplete activity data within a geographic area, bridge gaps between users and hosts by shortening time periods—from activity announcement, to discovery, to launch, to response—create buzz, maximize venue attendance, boost sales and ensure promotional success. Software crawlers may mine public Web sites for thorough activity data coverage. Stored activities, profiles and collected user interaction data may produce behavioral reports to increase ROMI. Security packages, installations and access controls may incite users to safely register themselves in the SMS to engage, interact and transact.

Sports training apparatus

InactiveUS6955610B1Improve object strikingGood tactile feedbackClubsBall sportsSkill setsEngineering
An apparatus is provided that allows individuals of diverse skill levels to improve their respective sports-related swings. The apparatus provides visual, auditory and tactile feedback as to whether an individual is correctly “loading”, “retaining”, and “releasing” the inherent power of the training apparatus. The training apparatus enables an individual to fine tune his / her swing to maximize power delivery, e.g., in driving a golf ball, striking a hockey puck, or hitting a baseball. A slidable member is provided that moves along a shaft between an upper member and a lower member. A retaining mechanism restrains the slidable member in a cocked position, i.e., in juxtaposition with the upper member, until a predetermined force is created through swinging of the shaft.

Device facilitating efficient transfer of digital content from media capture device

A method facilitating the transfer of information from a media or data capture device to a larger device while providing valuable feedback about the transfer is described. A transfer device including a simple user interface that can be easily implemented on a media or data capture device provides feedback about the transfer operation, enabling the user to take action when necessary. For example, the user is advised if the transfer is complete or, alternatively, that the transfer has failed and needs to redone. Feedback is provided by visual signals and may also be accompanied by audible signals. All necessary transfer functionality is included on the media capture device, thereby avoiding the requirement for dedicated software on a host (or pipeline) device, such as a cellular phone. This expands the number of pipeline devices that can be utilized with particular media capture devices. As long as there is a correct interface between the data capture device and the pipeline device, all the necessary transfer functionality can be included in the data capture device.
