DVB-C stands for "Digital Video Broadcasting - Cable" and it is the DVB European consortium standard for the broadcast transmission of digital television over cable. This system transmits an MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 family digital audio/digital video stream, using a QAM modulation with channel coding. The standard was first published by the ETSI in 1994, and subsequently became the most widely used transmission system for digital cable television in Europe, Asia and South America. It is deployed worldwide in systems ranging from the larger cable television networks (CATV) down to smaller satellite master antenna TV (SMATV) systems.

The invention provides a program previewing method and system based on a digital television, wherein the method comprises: a set top box receives and analyzes the program mapping table of a corresponding channel program according to the channel switching command of a user; whether a previewing identifier exists in the private descriptor of the program mapping table is judged; if so, an identifier transmission packet in the private descriptor is transmitted to a condition receiving system, and the condition receiving system judges whether the identifier transmission packet is authorized; and if no, the previewing procedure is carried out. The invention correspondingly provides the program previewing system based on the digital television. The embodiment of the invention has the following beneficial effects: a program previewing function can be achieved in a unidirectional broadcast system of a digital video broadcasting-cable (DVB-C), a digital video broadcasting-terrestrial (DEVB-T) and a digital video broadcasting-satellite (DVB-S), thus programs can be preferably popularized; the operation is simple, additional management systems are not required, and the program previewing function can be achieved based on the existing conditional access (CA) system; and preview programs can be scrambled by virtue of an CA front-end system, thus the safety of program content can be enhanced.

The invention discloses a transmission system for serial digital interface (SDI) high-definition video signals, which comprises a sending end, a receiving end and a coaxial cable for connecting the sending end and the receiving end. The sending end comprises a receiving unit, a high-definition coding unit, a packaging unit, a modulation coding unit and a sending end mixer which are connected in sequence. The receiving end comprises a receiving end mixer, a demodulation decoding unit, a demultiplexing unit, a high-definition decoding unit and an output interface which are connected in sequence. The sending end of the transmission system receives, codes and packages the high-definition video signals which are modulated and coded into digital video broadcasting-cable (DVB-C) radio frequency signals, the sending end is connected with the receiving end through the coaxial cable under 2000m, and the receiving end enables demodulation, channel decoding, demultiplexing and high-definition decoding to be performed on the DVB-C radio frequency signals which are restored back to serial digital video signals or converted into high-definition digital multi-media signals. Therefore, stable transmission of the SDI high-definition video signals at the distance between 100m to 2000m is achieved. Simultaneously, the invention further discloses a transmission method for the SDI high-definition video signals.
