At a communication source end node, output ports are configured by a crossed unit into three service forwarding instances, namely a main NNI (network node interface) port, a standby NNI port, and a main-standby NNI port; keywords matched to generate target MAC (media access control) addresses, namely MACn1, MACn2, and MACn3; at a communication destination end node, the interface units of the main and standby NNI interfaces are respectively configured with service processing instances; and the keyword to be matched is a Tunnel label; however, only the main service instance is in activated state; during switching, corresponding switching operations are implemented according to protection modes (1-plus-1 protection and 1-to-1 protection). The most fundamental thought of the linear protection switching method applicable to the large-capacity PTN (packet transport network) device is to convert centralized switching into distributed switching; the crossed unit only implements high speed packet forwarding, and does not participate in switching motions; therefore, the switching motions are carried out by a plurality of service processing units; moreover, the service processing units process the switching motions concurrently, so the switching speed is improved by times.

The remote intelligent telephone controller also comprises a voicemail offline control module for receiving the voice of the user, transmitting the voice to a voice recognition unit to convert the voice to a control command and decode the control command to corresponding delay value. The central control unit also comprises a timing reservation execution unit for receiving the delay command from the user to count down and sending the control data to a network node interface circuit when the countdown is completed. Method and apparatus interconnection of local area networks with wide area networks

The method and apparatus of the present invention may be utilized to interconnect multiple local area networks to a data processing network including both multiple network nodes having routing and functional capability within the data processing network and multiple endpoint nodes having only local address capability, while minimizing the amount of routing information which must be maintained within the data processing network. A concentrator node is established for interconnection between each of the multiple local area networks and the data processing network. The concentrator node includes a network node interface having routing and functional capability for an associated local area network and an endpoint node interface having local address capability. When interconnected between a local area network and a selected network node within the data processing network, the concentrator node emulates a network node within the local area network while appearing as an endpoint node within the data processing network. The concentrator node maintains routing information for communication between the local area network and the data processing network in two segments. The first segment details the route between the local area network and the concentrator node while a second segment details the route between the concentrator node and a node within the data processing network.

The method comprises the following steps of: determining the uplink required speed rate and the downlink required speed rate corresponding to PTN access node equipment in the PTN access node equipment chain, and determining the uplink network node interface (NNI) number and the downlink NNI number required by the PTN access node equipment according to the determined uplink required speed rate, the determined downlink required speed rate and the NNI support transmission rate; configuring uplink NNI transmission uplink grouped data packets with the same number as the determined uplink NNI number and downlink NNI transmission downlink grouped data packets with the same number as the determined downlink NNI number; and building the optical fiber connection between the PTN access node equipment and the adjacent PTN access node equipment on the basis of the configured NNI.
