The present invention provides a system and method for provisioning Cloud services by establishing a Cloud services catalog using a Cloud service bus within a Cloud computing environment. In one embodiment, there is a Cloud services catalog manager configured to connect a plurality of Clouds in a Cloud computing environment; maintain a catalog of integrated Cloud services from the plurality of connected Clouds; and display an index of the integrated services on a user interface. Using this system and method will allow for multiple disparate services, offered by different partners, across unrelated, physically distinct Clouds to be presented as an index of integrated services.

A cloud service brokerage system includes an electronic cloud service catalog containing cloud service defining information for a plurality of cloud services and a cloud service store coupled to the electronic cloud service catalog. The cloud service store includes cloud service publications each representing cloud service functionality corresponding to one or more of the cloud services. The cloud-management platform, or a related service-catalog generating entity, uses these analyzed and compared results to automatically generate a service-catalog entry that represents or describes a cloud business application or service associated with the virtual machine, and enters the automatically generated entry into the service catalog. When a user of the cloud-computing environment requests the cloud business application or service, the cloud-management platform may then offer the business application or service as a function of the automatically generated entry.

An apparatus for managing risk within an organization includes four modules. An enterprise builder module enables a user to enter and store data regarding one or more reporting entities within the organization. A products and services catalog module enables a user to enter and store data regarding one or more products or services within the organization and to associate each of the one or more products or services with at least one of the one or more reporting entities defined in the enterprise builder module. A method, apparatus, and computer instructions are provided for deploying and instantiating multiple instances of applications in automated data centers using an application deployment template. A first mechanism is provided to deploy multiple instances of applications using an application deployment plan template. The first mechanism uses deployment parameter sets to generate corresponding deployment plans based on the deployment template. A second mechanism is provided to instantiate multiple instances of applications using deployment plan templates. A service catalog that is exposed to consumers for selection of catalog items is built on top of the second mechanism. During the cataloging and order fulfillment process, the second mechanism instantiates multiple instances of applications using the generated deployment plans and an application model to deploy multiple application instances. Access is provided to a services directory which identifies a plurality of services and at least one connector for facilitating consumption of each of the services via the network. Each connector is operable to mediate communication protocol and business policy differences between a first network end point associated with the corresponding service and a second network end point associated with a consumer of the service. For each of selected ones of the connectors, information accessible via the services directory is provided regarding how to use the connector to consume the corresponding service. A framework of a service directory that can handle service records changing rapidly is provided by using a content-based routing network. A directory node for providing the service directory is called a data resolver. The data resolver listens for service advertisements for certain service categories from service providers, and stores such advertisement data in the form of service records in a local cache. If a data resolver receives a query for some services, it first looks in the cache. If the cache contains at least one service record that satisfies the query, the data resolver returns the record. Otherwise, the data resolver issues a secondary query corresponding to the query it received, to other data resolvers connected by the content-based routing network.
