A biometrics system captures and processes a handprint image using a structured light illumination to create a 2D representation equivalent of a rolled inked handprint. The biometrics system includes an enclosure with a scan volume for placement of the hand. A reference plane with a backdrop pattern forms one side of the scan volume. The backdrop pattern is preferably a random noise pattern and the coordinates of the backdrop pattern are predetermined at system provisioning. The biometrics system further includes at least one projection unit for projecting a structured light pattern onto a hand positioned in the scan volume on or in front of the backdrop pattern and at least two cameras for capturing a plurality of images of the hand, wherein each of the plurality of images includes at least a portion of the hand and the backdrop pattern. A processing unit calculates 3D coordinates of the hand from the plurality of images using the predetermined coordinates of the backdrop pattern to align the plurality of images and mapping the 3D coordinates to a 2D flat surface to create a 2D representation equivalent of a rolled inked handprint. The processing unit can also adjust calibration parameters for each hand scan from calculating coordinates of the portion of backdrop pattern in the at least one image and comparing with the predetermined coordinates of the backdrop pattern.

System and method for tracking lost articles by means of a global computer network, providing a theft deterrent and advertising

Downloadable identification labels which are downloaded from a world wide computer network to a remote computer and printed on paper using a printer. Each label is printed with the contact information of a central lost and found registry and attached to one or more personal possessions. The labels can also be printed with an identification code, notification that a reward will be paid for a possession which is returned to the owner, sponsor advertising and a warning that the possession has been indelibly marked with identification indicia such as the internet address of the lost and found registry. The central lost and found registry stores, on a database, information about lost possessions and owner contact information as well as information about found possessions and finder's contact information. If a match is found between a lost possession and found possession the registry communicates the contact information of the finder to the owner so that the possession may be recovered by the owner. Owners do not preregister their belongings, codes, or contact information with the central registry. They only register with the registry if a possession should be lost or missing and the owner desires assistance in their recovery.

Banknote distribution method, banknote distribution device and financial self-service equipment

The embodiment of the invention discloses a banknote distribution method. The banknote distribution method is used for removing the limitation of the denomination number of banknotes of financial self-service equipment, greatly improving the banknote distribution capacity of the financial self-service equipment, greatly expanding the banknote distribution range of the financial self-service equipment, meeting the demand for different banknote distribution limits of customers and improving the use experience of the customers. The banknote distribution method comprises the steps of obtaining the sequences and the corresponding denominations of banknotes of a plurality of mixed banknote boxes, wherein the banknotes with a plurality of denominations are stored in each banknote box and taken or stored in a stack mode; obtaining the number and the denomination of banknotes of a plurality of single banknote boxes, wherein the banknotes with only one denomination are stored in the single banknote boxes; obtaining the current banknote distribution limit; obtaining the banknote distribution result according to preset banknote distribution rules and a preset banknote distribution limit, wherein the banknote distribution result records the number of the banknotes withdrawn from each mixed banknote box and the number of the banknotes withdrawn from the signal banknote boxes so that the total number of the withdrawn banknotes can be equal to the banknote distribution limit; outputting the banknotes according to the banknote distribution result. The invention further provides a banknote distribution device and the financial self-service equipment.
