Methods and architecture for cross-device activity monitoring, reasoning, and visualization for providing status and forecasts of a users' presence and availability

The present invention relates to a system and methodology to facilitate collaboration and communications between entities such as between automated applications, parties to a communication and / or combinations thereof. The systems and methods of the present invention include a service that supports collaboration and communication by learning predictive models that provide forecasts of one or more aspects of a users' presence and availability. Presence forecasts include a user's current or future locations at different levels of location precision and usage of different devices or applications. Availability assessments include inferences about the cost of interrupting a user in different ways and a user's current or future access to one or more communication channels. The predictive models are constructed from data collected by considering user activity and proximity from multiple devices, in addition to analysis of the content of users' calendars, the time of day, and day of week, for example. Various applications are provided that employ the presence and availability information supplied by the models in order to facilitate collaboration and communications between entities.

Composable presence and availability services

The present invention relates to a system and methodology to facilitate collaboration and communications between entities such as between parties to a communication, automated applications and components, and/or combinations thereof. The systems and methods of the present invention include a service that supports collaboration and communication by learning predictive models that provide forecasts of one or more aspects of a user's presence and availability. Presence forecasts include a user's current location or future locations at different levels of location precision and of the availability to users of different devices or applications. Availability assessments include inferences about the cost of interrupting a user in different ways and a user's current or future access to one or more communication channels that may be supported by one or more devices with appropriate capabilities. The predictive models are constructed via statistical learning methods from data collected by considering user activity and proximity from multiple devices, in addition to analysis of the content of users' calendars, the time of day, and day of week, for example. Beyond ambient data collection, users can provide input via batch input tools or via intermittent probes of their situation and context. Various applications are provided that employ the presence and availability information supplied by the models in order to facilitate collaboration and communications between entities.

Method for quantitative video-microscopy and associated system and computer software program product

A method of determining an amount of at least one molecular species in a sample from an image of the sample captured by an image acquisition device is provided, each molecular species being indicated by a dye. A dye space representation of a plurality of dyes is formed by orthogonally adding the correspondence tables of the dyes, each correspondence table having a plurality of normalized RGB triplets and incrementally extending from 0% to 100% transmittance. The dye space representation has one dimension for each dye and provides a reference model for a combination of the plurality of dyes. Each pixel of an image of the sample stained with the combination of the plurality of dyes is compared to the reference model, each pixel having a color defined by an RGB triplet, so as to determine an optimal combination of normalized RGB triplets from the respective correspondence tables of the dyes producing the color of the respective pixel. An artificial image of the sample is then formed from the normalized RGB triplets for each dye as determined from the optimal combination. The artificial image thereby indicates a distribution of the respective dye over the sample image and facilitates determination of the amount of the corresponding molecular species. Associated methods, systems, and computer software program products are also provided.

Occupancy sensor based on Doppler technology and detection method thereof

The present invention discloses an occupancy sensor based on Doppler technology and a detection method thereof. The occupation sensor comprises: a Doppler radar detection module configured to emit radio-frequency signals, receive echo signals reflected back after encountering a target object, generate Doppler frequency signals for describing motion of an object, and send the Doppler frequency signals to a circuit control module; and a circuit control module is configured to determine receiving signals and determine whether there are people in a given space or not so as to control an indoor device. The detection method comprises: emitting the radio-frequency signals through the Doppler radar detection module, receiving echo signals reflected back after encountering a target object, and generating the Doppler frequency signals for describing motion of an object and sending the Doppler frequency signals to the circuit control module; and receiving signals output by the Doppler radar detection module and performing determination through the circuit control module, and determining whether there are people or not in the given space so as to control the switching state of the indoor device. The detection range is enlarged, the timeliness and the accuracy of detection are ensured, and the occupancy sensor based on Doppler technology and detection method thereof have wide application range.

Path planning method based on structured data

The invention relates to the field of robot navigation path planning methods, and particularly discloses a path planning method based on structured data. The method comprises the following steps: (1),performing global path planning: firstly, constructing a road network according to the structured data; reading and analyzing the structured road network data, and constructing lane lines and road edges in a road network data structure; (2), performing candidate trajectory generation; (3), performing candidate trajectory evaluation; and (4), performing candidate trajectory anti-shake filtering. According to the path planning method, a structured road network data mode is adopted; environmental elements such as lane lines and road edges are defined; map elements are drawn on a coordinate system of a point cloud map; and the areas where the robot can pass through and can not pass through are constructed. The method has the advantages that the structure is light and simple, the occupied resources are small, the response is fast, the path planning of the outdoor robot under the large-range scene can be realized according to the road network data for the motion task of the given target point, and the performance bottleneck problem of the path planning under the outdoor large-range scene is effectively solved.
