Shrinkage of dilatations in the body

A method and system for shrinking dilatations of a body, removing excess, weak or diseased tissue, and strengthening remaining tissues of the lumen walls. A catheter is disposed near the dilatation and fixed in position by inflatable occlusion balloons. Body fluids present in the occluded dilatation are evacuated and treatment fluid is exuded under pressure into the dilatation. Pressure is maintained by the treatment fluid while energy is applied by the catheter to heat the treatment fluid, causing the lumen walls to absorb the treatment fluid. Additional energy is then applied so as to preferentially heat the lumen wall tissues which have absorbed the treatment fluid, while at the same time treatment fluid is circulated to cool the inner surface of the lumen walls. The dilatation is occluded, a saline solution is introduced and absorbed into the lumen-wall tissue in the occluded region of the dilatation and then heated by application of radio frequency (“RF”) or other energy in order to soften only the lumen-wall tissue of the dilatation, the dilatation is shrunk by application of a chilled saline solution and a vacuum, and additional RF or other energy is emitted to ablate, further shrink, and harden only the lumen-wall tissue of the dilatation, without destroying the inner surface of the lumen or other tissues of the body beyond the lumen walls, thereby promoting growth of epithelial cells.

Compositions of polyacids and methods for their use in reducing adhesions

The present invention relates to improved methods for making and using bioadhesive, bioresorbable, anti-adhesion compositions made of inter-macromolecular complexes of carboxyl-containing polysaccharides, polyethers, polyacids, polyalkylene oxides, multivalent cations and/or polycations. The polymers are associated with each other and are then either dried into membranes or sponges or are used as fluids or microspheres. Bioresorbable, bioadhesive, antiadhesion compositions are useful in surgery to prevent the formation and reformation of post-surgical adhesions. The compositions are designed to breakdown in vivo, and thus be removed from the body. Membranes are inserted during surgery either dry or optionally after conditioning in aqueous solutions. The antiadhesion, bioadhesive, bioresorptive, antithrombogenic and physical properties of such membranes and gels can be varied as needed by carefully adjusting the pH and/or cation content of the polymer casting solutions, polyacid composition, the polyalkylene oxide composition, or by conditioning the membranes prior to surgical use. Multi-layered membranes can be made and used to provide further control over the physical and biological properties of antiadhesion membranes. Membranes and gels can be used concurrently. Antiadhesion compositions may also be used to lubricate tissues and/or medical instruments, and/or deliver drugs to the surgical site and release them locally.

Preparation method of nickel plated aluminum powder

The invention provides nickel plated aluminum powder and a preparation method and application thereof. The aluminum powder consists of aluminum granules, a nickel metal plating layer is connected outside the aluminum granules, and an organic material protective layer is connected outside the nickel metal plating layer. The preparation method comprises the following steps of: a, putting the aluminum powder into ammonium hydroxide solution to perform alkali washing; b, mixing first complexing agent solution and ammonium hydroxide solution uniformly, and adding the aluminum powder subjected to the alkali washing in the step a into the mixed solution, or adding the aluminum powder subjected to the alkali washing in the step a into a fluoride to perform pretreatment; c, pre-plating: mixing thefirst complexing agent solution and the ammonium hydroxide solution uniformly, adding a second complexing agent and a third complexing agent into the mixed solution, mixing the solution uniformly, and then adding the aluminum powder pretreated in the step b into the mixed solution to perform pre-plating; d, soaking the aluminum powder pre-plated in the step c into chemical nickel plating solutionto perform one-time or two-time nickel plating, washing the aluminum powder by water, and drying the washed aluminum powder to obtain the nickel plated aluminum powder; and e, soaking the nickel plated aluminum powder of the step d into organic acid ester mixed solution, and filtering and drying the nickel plated aluminum powder to obtain a product.
