The present invention relates to minimally invasive surgery techniques. It provides a method for manufacturing an antenna for percutaneous acute hyperthermia microwave applications of the monopole or dipole co-axial type provided with trap, commonly called choke, for blocking the propagation of the backwards reflecting wave towards the generator. The miniaturisation of the device allows a use minimally invasive for interstitial hyperthermia in medicine and surgery, in particular for oncology. The method of manufacturing the antenna provides a metal needle (1) for the introduction of the antenna (2, 3, 4) in the target tissue. On the external conductor (4) of the antenna (2) a metal collar (6) is connected in a predetermined position; a plastics sheath (5) is applied in order to cover the external conductor (2) in the portion between the feed (7) and the collar (6); the inner wall of the metal needle (1) wherein the antenna is inserted is then used for containing and guiding the collar (6) and the sheath (5); in particular, the collar (6) being in electrical contact with the inner wall of the metal needle (1). An antenna is thus obtained with choke of variable length and with miniaturized diameter. A thermocouple can be introduced through the choke that protrudes the directly in the "feed" zone.

Method for the microwave emulsion treatment of water-in-oil (W/O) emulsions, including a) determining, for an W/O emulsion the optimum conditions of the variables: water content, salt content, pH value of the aqueous phase, initial temperature, microwave application power, final temperature and drop size distribution to be adjusted in the industrial plant, as a function of the features of the tested crude oil such as viscosity, density, asphaltene content, total acidity, such conditions being those required for obtaining at least 90% separation efficiency of the emulsion in the presence of microwave radiation: b) utilizing such information for the initial adjustment of application conditions of the method to phase separation units in refineries and production units; c) perform on line tests of the variables of step a) of the process response in the streams effluent from separation units, being the response the water content and salt content tests, so as to feedback the information to the best adjustment of the process conditions for microwave application; and d) utilizing the on line or laboratory tests of the effect of the method as a tool for monitoring the efficiency of the breaking of the W/O emulsion.

The invention relates to an industrial microwave application apparatus, and particularly relates to a side intake air microwave drying apparatus. According to the side intake air microwave drying apparatus the middle part of a box type structure acts as a microwave action cavity which is provided with a door body on one side, a microwave resource and the microwave action cavity are matched and separately distributed on the upper part of the box body; the microwave action cavity is provided with a tray and a tray holder; a power system is arranged on the lower part of the microwave action cavity in the box body, a motor of the power system is connected with the tray holder by a reducing mechanism in order to drive the tray to rotate by the tray holder; the side wall of the microwave action cavity is provided with an amount of air intake holes; and the top end of the box body is provided with a moisture pumping system which is communicated with the microwave action cavity.
