The invention discloses a method for calibrating characteristic 
waves of a power network by utilizing 
clock stamps, including the following steps: firstly, the waveform of 
voltage current of the power network is sampled, and the sampling value of 
stray voltage current is obtained; 
satellite signals are received during sampling, 
standard time information is generated and is maintained and processed, and the time of occurrence of an interrupt 
signal during sampling is recorded so as to form the 
clock stamp; secondly, 
Fourier transform is carried out on the sampling value of the 
stray voltage current, and the amplitude and the phase positions of fundamental and higher 
harmonics are obtained; thirdly, 
sampling instant high-accuracy 
clock stamps are added to the obtained amplitude and the phase positions of the fundamental and higher 
harmonics so as to form and transmit a data packet to other sites of the power network. The invention utilizes satellites for 
time synchronization so as to provide a uniform, high-accuracy and high-precision 
signal source for a vast geographical region, thereby eliminating the disadvantages of low accuracy of 
time synchronization, difficult data comparison, high 
data transmission quantity, and the like of a 
wide area network.
