The invention relates to the technical field of cables, especially to an easily-identifiable communication optical cable for
power grid use. The optical cable comprises a cable core, an outer sheath wrapping the cable core, a reinforcing element made of a single steel wire or
glass fiber reinforced plastics, a supporting wire protective layer wrapping the reinforcing element, and ribs connecting the supporting wire protective layer and the outer sheath, wherein the cable core consists of a central reinforcing member in the center, at least one filler
rope or a plurality of loosen sleeves outside the central reinforcing member and a protective layer wrapping up the filler
rope and the loosen sleeves, and the loosen sleeves have at least one
optical fiber. In the cable core, the filler
rope and the loosen sleeves are twisted about the central reinforcing member in a spiral twisting or
clockwise-counterclockwise twisting, and identification strips are made of special materials. The optical cable is advantageous in that the thickness of the supporting wire protective layer is easy to control, the supporting wire protective layer is smoother and round, the production speed is faster, the qualified rate is higher, the deadweight of the optical cable is lighter, the color-locking optical cable is applicable to longer span, and the colors of the identification strips are more stable.
