A series of motions where a user approaches, gets in, drives or stays in, and gets off a vehicle is divided into a plurality of scenes. In each scene, a hospitality operation is executed for assisting use of the vehicle by the user or for entertaining the user. Information about disturbances on the user is obtained in each specified scene. When a driver initially registers with a rideshare service, the driver is prompted to provide biometric information via a mobile app running on the driver's mobile device. The biometric information is then stored in a database with a ride share management server in a file associated with the driver's account. Subsequently, when the driver expresses an offer to provide a ride share trip, the server performs an authentication check based on the pre-stored biometric information. Furthermore, the system discloses herein facilitates increased rideshare revenue generation by creating referral chains for a driver when a previously-registered driver, or an affiliate of the rideshare service refers a proposed new driver to the rideshare service and the proposed new driver then registers with the rideshare service.

The call input device may be a device provided with a display and a keypad, designed especially for this use. This information can be accompanied by guidance information and information about an estimated waiting time. The destination floor alternatives can also be programmed to the call input device by the user him/herself. Additional services can be provided to the user of the call system and to other parties working in the building by connecting the control system to the Internet e.g. via an embedded mobile telephone.

A portable device search system for an electronic key system is formed by a portable device and handy equipment such as a cellular phone, PDA and the like, which is separate from the portable device. When a predetermined operation is performed on the handy equipment, the handy equipment transmits a search signal. Automatically operating a door system is controlled by an affirmative action of a patron. An occupancy status of an inside area is provided to the patron approaching the door from an outside area. The patron is directed to request the door be opened in response to an unoccupied status. A presence of the patron in the inside area is sensed and the door automatically closed, and optionally locked. One actuator is set to an in use status indicating use of the inside area by the patron. A door ready for opening status is provided to the patron. With an affirmative action with a second actuator by the patron desiring to open the door and exit the inside area, the door is unlocked and opened. Sensing an absence of the patron within the inside area, the door is automatically closed, and first actuator reset to the ready state.

An object detection device for a vehicle monitors the surroundings at the rear of the vehicle. The object detection device has a radar sensor for generating a radar signal containing information about a distance between the vehicle and a vehicle user or another object in the surroundings. The radar sensor mounts on a vehicle component pointing toward the surroundings to the rear of the vehicle. A railroad vehicle bearing malfunction sensing system which is able to accurately determine a malfunction of an axle bearing in each vehicle of a train. The system includes: a plurality of data loggers mounted on a plurality of axle bearings, respectively, in at least one vehicle of a single-line train, each logger including: a detection/recording to detect vibration of the bearing and record detected vibration detection data; and a wireless communication to receive a recording start command for starting recording of the vibration detection data by the detection/recording; and a simultaneous recording start command to simultaneously and wirelessly transmit recording start commands to the loggers respectively corresponding to the bearings.
