The invention provides a five-freedom exoskeleton type robot for healing upper limbs, which comprises a mounting deck used for mounting the robot. The mounting deck is provided with a lead rail, an erector is arranged on the lead rail and is provided with a height adjustment mechanism, a rotatable mounting arm is arranged on the erector by a rotatable axis. A healing mechanical arm body composed of a shoulder width, an upper arm, a forearm and a hand lever is installed on the rotatable mounting arm. A device for assisting a user in performing push-up exercises on a floor surface is disclosed. The device includes at least one rigid shell that has a convex outer surface and a concave inner surface. Each surface is mutually connected by a peripheral edge that defines a shell opening. A means for handling is fixed with the concave inner surface within each shell and is adapted to be grasped by the user. Preferably a pair of such shells are adapted to mechanically, selectively and mutually attach at the peripheral edges thereof to form a container thereby. In use, the user grasps the means for handling of each of the shells with either hand and perform exercises on the floor surface by pressing each shell against the floor surface. An improvement is disclosed for a push-up handle of the type having a cylindrical base rotatably fixed to a grip. The improvement comprises a shell having a convex outer surface and a concave inner surface, and a connector for selectively fixing the grip of the push-up handle to the shell. The shell is adapted to receive the push-up handle therein so that a peripheral portion of the base contacts the inner surface of the shell.
