A wrapped surgical pack (400) includes a plurality of adhesive bindings (301,302) that retain an identification device (305) against an outer wrap (201) of the wrapped surgical pack (400). The identification device (305) is capable of being read by a remote reader (801). When the wrapped surgical pack (400) is opened, the physical structure of the identification device (305) is altered, thereby allowing one or more processors operable with the remote reader (801) to detect the opening event. A system (800) using the identification device (305) can be used for order fulfillment, inventory management, location tracking, and other systems.

The dimensions of the cover system can vary depending on the ULD they are designed to be used with. The cover system can include one or multiple parts that wrap the shipment. Each part of the cover system can be made of one or more layers. Each layer can be made of a single material or a combination of different materials, and different layers can incorporate different materials. The different parts of the cover can be made of different materials or different combination of materials. In specific embodiments, materials used for the cover system are Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) friendly. The cover system provides thermal protection to temperature-sensitive products in or on the ULD. The cover system maintains the proper relative humidity level and gas concentrations (oxygen, carbon dioxide and ethylene) for horticultural product loads. The cover system can also have antimicrobial properties. Described herein are fugitive hot melt adhesive compositions having a substantial weight percent of renewable plant-based content. The adhesive compositions impart high initial adhesive bond strength between an object and a substrate quickly after application in the molten state, wherein the adhesive bond strength is spontaneously substantially reduced to a very low or near zero level after a short time, for example between about 1 minute and 60 minutes after application. Methods of use and articles formed using the compositions are also described.
