Some embodiments may permit the customer purchasing the products to optionally select to incorporate the carbon offset costs in the costs for the purchased products. The estimate of carbon emissions generated calculation is based on specific information for the purchased products and the selected shipping methods for shipping the purchased products such as the shipping weight of the purchased products, a distance the purchased products are being shipped, and a designation of the shipping or transportation method. Additional embodiments may include dimensional weights of the purchased products, additional factors to account for the specific aspects of the selected transportation method for shipping the purchased products, and permitting the customer to select a specific carbon offsetting application to fund.

Carbon offset method for methane synthesis gas prepared from dry distillation gas

The invention discloses a carbon offset method for methane synthesis gas prepared from dry distillation gas. The method is implemented through that a carbonate carbon offset raw material with a mineral powder particle size of less than or equal to 80 meshes is added into retort coal and uniformly mixed, the obtained mixture is added into a dry distillation furnace to heat, red heat furnace charges are cooled to room temperature, the obtained product is sieved so as to obtain a solid clean fuel, and produced CO2 and CO gases are directly fed into the dry distillation gas to match with excess H2 gas, so that the hydrogen-carbon ratio requirement for the synthesis of synthetic oil is met, thereby achieving the purpose of carbon offset. According to the method disclosed by the invention, carbonate minerals are directly added into the retort coal, and a carbon offset effect on dry distillation gas is achieved by using CO2 and CO gases produced by thermal decomposition, therefore, the method has the characteristics of rich raw material sources, simple technological processes, equipment investment saving, low carbon offset cost, good economical efficiency and the like, and can be widely applied to the comprehensive utilization projects of high and medium temperature dry distillation gas.

The invention discloses a modeling method for mulberry field ecosystem carbon sequestration accounting, which comprises the following steps: calculating the total biomass of mulberry twigs for fuel wood combustion by using basic planting information and mulberry felling quantity data of a mulberry field so as to establish a carbon sequestration accounting model for the mulberry felling twigs for fuel wood combustion, which considers carbon offset and greenhouse gas emission during combustion; a carbon release model of mulberry leaf in-situ compost is established to solve the carbon residue of compost, and a carbon sequestration accounting model of cut mulberry leaves is obtained; establishing a carbon sequestration amount model of the silk fibers and the silkworm chrysalis within a 100-year evaluation period; establishing an accounting model for the carbon sequestration amount in the silkworm excrement and the residual food leaves in consideration of compost greenhouse gas emission and carbon dioxide emission by silkworm respiration; seven carbon circulation path modeling such as a mulberry and underground biomass carbon sequestration amount accounting model is established. According to the method, modeling is carried out on carbon loss and carbon offset of seven circulation paths of photosynthesis carbon, an accurate and reliable mulberry field carbon sequestration accounting model is explored, and the method has important significance on quantitative evaluation of mulberry field carbon sequestration.
