The invention relates to a method for detection of respiration of a patient comprising the following steps: emitting an electromagnetic signal towards the patient; receiving a reflected electromagnetic signal reflected from the patient; converting the reflected electromagnetic signal, yielding a first signal; phase-shifting the reflected electromagnetic signal and converting the phase-shifted reflected electromagnetic signal, yielding a second signal; determining a first vector being defined by the time derivatives of the first signal and the second signal, for a common first point in time; determining a second and vector being defined by the time derivatives of the first signal and the second signal, for a common second point in time; and calculating the scalar product of the normalized first vector and the normalized second vector as an indicator value for a change from expiration to inspiration of the patient or vice versa. A change from expiration to inspiration of the patient or vice versa is preferably indicated if the indicator value is below a threshold value, preferably below a value of 0. In this way, a possibility for contactless remote respiration monitoring of a patient based on the Doppler radar principle is provided which is reliable and easy to handle.

Method and apparatus for a base station engaging in transmissions via at least a media access layer with a user entity is disclosed. The base station transmits data to the user entity over a high speed scheduling channel and a high speed packet data scheduling channel. The base station has a plurality of hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) entities cooperating with a scheduler for transmitting frames from at least the base station to the user entity for a given HARQ process. Each HARQ entity receives either a not acknowledge signal or an acknowledge signal or detects a discontinuous transmission for a given HARQ process. The base station transmits a next data indicator to the user entity. The user entity has at least one buffer associated with a given HARQ process. The buffer stores and performs incremental combining of received data relating to data from the base station. The buffer is capable of being flushed.
A method for a base station is disclosed. The method begins by awaiting a scheduling instruction and scheduling of download data. If the outcome from previous media access transmission or transmissions is detected as a discontinuous transmission the next data indicator is set to the value previously used. Otherwise the next data indicator value is toggled. Data for the given HARQ process is transmitted.

Water body experiment apparatus and method

The invention relates to a water body experiment apparatus and a water body experiment method. The apparatus comprises a sediment release unit, a culture unit, a control unit, a water body controlling system, and a water quality monitoring system. The sediment release unit, the culture unit, and the control unit are sequentially arranged adjacently. Each two adjacent units are connected with a baffle, such that an experiment box body with the three units communicating with each other is formed. The water body controlling system is used for regulating physical and chemical indicators of water body in the experiment apparatus. The water quality monitoring system is used for detecting the physical and chemical indicator values of water body, sediment, plankton and/or submerged aquatic plants in the experiment apparatus. According to the invention, sediment sampling, sediment pollutant releasing, and algae and submerged plant growing are effectively combined. With the apparatus, sediment release effect of different water environments can be simulated, and influences of different ecological projects (environmental-protection dredging projects and submerged aquatic plant restoration projects) upon water body eutrophication and water body pollution can be quantitatively studied.

The invention relates to a power system weak link identification method based on risk evaluation and belongs to the field of power system analysis. The method includes acquiring fault probability of elements of a power system, a future load curve of the power system, states of the elements and load of nodes of the power system; utilizing a minimum load shedding loss optimization model to judge the failure state of the power system and determining the optimum load shedding quantity of each node under each element sampling state; finishing calculation of risk indicators of the power system through repeated sampling and power system failure state judgment; conducting statistics on the weak link characteristic quantity corresponding to faults of generators and an electric transmission and transformation device, calculating five element weakness recognition indicators of the elements according to the risk indicators and the weak link characteristic quantity and finally sorting the recognition indicator values to recognize the weak link of a generator set and the electric transmission and transformation device. By means of the method, the weak link of the power system is improved, large-area power failure of the power system is prevented, and operation safety of the power system is improved.

Parking space detection method and system thereof

The invention discloses a parking space detection method and a system thereof and relates to a wireless sensor network technology. The parking space detection system disclosed in the invention comprises a data management center and a parking space detection node apparatus, wherein the data management center is used to send data to the parking space detection node apparatus, receive a determination result of whether there is a vehicle parked in a parking space uploaded by the parking space detection node apparatus and carry out management on the parking space according to the received determination result; the parking space detection node apparatus is used to receive the data sent by the data management center, determine a signal strength indicator (RSSI) value according to frequency spectrum information of the received data, combines the current determined signal strength indicator value and a historical record data updating RSSI threshold, compares the current determined signal strength indicator value with the updated RSSI threshold, determine whether there is the vehicle in the parking space and upload the determination result to the data management center. The invention also discloses a parking space detection method. By using technical scheme of the invention, the parking space can be accurately measured and cost is reduced.
