Oxybenzone or benzophenone-3 (trade names Milestab 9, Eusolex 4360, Escalol 567, KAHSCREEN BZ-3) is an organic compound. It is a pale-yellow solid that is readily soluble in most organic solvents. Oxybenzone belongs to the class of aromatic ketones known as benzophenones. It is a naturally occurring chemical found in various flowering plants as well as being an organic component of many sunscreen lotions. It is also in widespread use in things like plastics, toys, furniture finishes, and more to limit UV degradation.

Complexation of Oxybenzone with C-methylresorcin[4]arene

The present invention involves the formation of host-guest complexes between C-methylresorcin[4]arene and Oxybenzone (OXB). NMR spectroscopy confirmed the formation of a weak host-guest complex and molecular dynamics docking simulations indicated that this complex likely had a 1:1 stoichiometry. Furthermore, skin permeation testing revealed that complexation by C-methylresorcin[4]arene significantly reduced the amount of OXB that permeated skin. These results show the potential of supramolecular complexation for improving the stability and decreasing the skin permeability of OXB, thus limiting harmful side effects.

The invention provides lipid carrier gel with a nano structure as well as a preparation method and application of the lipid carrier gel, and relates to the technical field of sunscreen products. The lipid carrier gel with the nanostructure comprises a lipid carrier dispersion with the nanostructure and a gel matrix, wherein the nanostructure lipid carrier dispersion comprises a lipid material, a composite sunscreen active component, a natural sunscreen synergist, an emulsifier, a co-emulsifier and water; wherein the composite sunscreen active component is prepared from ethyl hexyl triazinone, diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate and bis-ethyl hexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine; the natural sunscreen synergist is prepared from rutin and ferulic acid. According to the lipid carrier gel with the nanostructure, three selected high-efficiency and light-stable chemical sun-screening agents and two natural plant synergists are compounded and encapsulated by using an NLC technology, and finally, the sun-screening gel which is high in sun-screening efficiency, good in light stability, low in skin permeability and comfortable to use is obtained.

This invention discloses an anti-corrosion coating containing graphitized carbon-coated zinc powder and its preparation method. The anti-corrosion coating containing graphitized carbon-coated zinc powder comprises the following raw materials in parts by weight: 60-70 parts epoxy resin, 14-18 parts graphitized carbon-coated zinc powder, 6-8 parts functionalized magnesium hydroxide, 5-6 parts phosphorus-silicon flame-retardant curing agent, 3-4 parts diethylenetriamine, 7-9 parts glycidyl butyl ether, and 10-14 parts acetone. The graphitized carbon-coated zinc powder is obtained by coating zinc powder surface with polyvinylpyrrolidone as a carbon source and then carbonizing at high temperature; the functionalized magnesium hydroxide is obtained by reacting magnesium hydroxide surface-treated with KH550 with oxybenzone; the phosphorus-silicon flame-retardant curing agent is obtained by reacting tetramethyldivinyldisiloxane and diethyl phosphite, followed by reaction with 1,3-propanediamine. These improvements endow the coating with excellent anti-corrosion, flame-retardant, and weather-resistant properties.
