This invention belongs to the field of
road dust control technology. It relates to a method for determining the
surface water retention of open-pit mine transport roads, comprising the following steps: First, under laboratory conditions, basic data on the
surface water content of the transport road and different environmental parameters are obtained, establishing basic data on the relationships between "
water content-temperature-time," "
water content-
humidity-time," and "
water content-
wind speed-time." Second, using the basic data established in the first step, the
surface water retention of the transport road at any cumulative time is calculated, thereby determining whether to spray water onto the
road surface. This invention, by establishing basic data on the relationships between "water content-temperature-time," "water content-
humidity-time," and "water content-
wind speed-time," enables real-time calculation of the surface
water retention of transport roads after spraying
clean water or dust suppressants based on changes in meteorological parameters. This provides data support for
intelligent decision-making regarding the timing of spraying transport roads, improves dust suppression efficiency, and saves
water resources.
