Liquid crystal display and method of repairing the same

A liquid crystal display (LCD) having a working and a redundant shift register for driving the gate lines of the display. A plurality of repair lines RL 1 -RLn run in parallel with the plurality of gate lines GL 1 -GLn between the working shift register whose stages are arranged to one side of the display and the redundant shift register whose stages are arranged on the opposite side of the display. Initially the repair lines are not connected to either of the shift registers and the gate lines are only connected to the outputs of the working shift register. Both the working and the redundant shift register are connected to receive the same input driving signals. When a defect is discovered in the working shift register, a laser beam is used to disconnect the output of the defective shift register stage from its gate line. A laser beam is then used to connect end of the repair line to receive the input signal for the defective stage and connect the other end of the repair line to deliver the input signal to the input terminal of the corresponding stage of the redundant shift register. The output terminal of the corresponding stage of the redundant shift register is connected to normally unconnected end of the gate line from the defective stage so as to deliver output to the stage of working register following the defective stage.

Method and apparatus for analysis and improvement of hand hygiene practices

InactiveUS20100173581A1Improving hand hygiene practiceRegistering/indicating time of eventsChecking apparatusWork shiftData treatment
A method and apparatus for analyzing the nature, location, position and orientation of hand hygiene dispensers within a facility and correlating that information with the usage experienced by each specific dispensers in order to correlate usage with physical characteristics of the dispenser, its location and position. Dispensers of various types are provided with data chips and acquire data correlating usage with the date and time of a dispensing cycle. The physical parameters associated with each dispenser are also known and recorded. All of this data is downloaded periodically into a database that assess such data in order to correlate usage of hand hygiene dispensers with parameters such as the nature of the dispenser, its location, position and orientation, time of day, work shift and the like. From this data, parameters can be defined that will optimize the use and positioning of hand hygiene dispensers within a facility such as a health care unit, hotel, restaurant or the like. According to one embodiment of the invention, the data is acquired by a reader or transponder that communicates with the data chip of the various dispensers using infrared or ultrasonic signal transmission. This acquired data is downloaded into a data processor for the analysis and optimization of dispenser positioning.

Automatic scheduling method for urban public bus lines

The invention relates to an automatic scheduling method for urban public bus lines, in particular to a method for processing vehicle dispatching data by utilizing data uploaded by a vehicle-mounted terminal, which solves the problems of poor real-time and effectiveness of manual scheduling. The method comprises the following steps: a database logins information of all vehicles, sites and lines, and establishes relevant corresponding relation tables; a control center receives entry and exit data and passenger flow data which are uploaded by the vehicles in real time through mobile communication and stores the data into the database; the database calculates time-segmented average travel time and average passenger flow volume of all the lines every day; the control center determines time-segmented departure intervals by using the time-segmented average passenger flow volume of the lines, automatically draws up static uplink and downlink work shift tables of the lines by combining with the time-segmented average travel time, resolves the static uplink and downlink work shift tables into booking sheets of the vehicles, and issues the booking sheets to the vehicles for execution through mobile communication; and the control center monitors the running state of the vehicles, automatically finds out substitutes when vehicles delay and amends the two work shift tables to form the booking sheets which are issued to the vehicles for execution through mobile communication.

Method for setting process parameters of stainless steel strip steel withdrawal and straightening machine unit

The invention relates to a method for setting process parameters of a stainless steel strip steel withdrawal and straightening machine unit. The method is characterized in that a set of systemic method for setting the process parameters of a stainless steel withdrawal and straightening machine is established by utilizing finite element software to establish a simulation model and applying the stepwise regression principle to set the process parameters such as insertion depths and tension values of a 1# roller, a 2# roller and a 3# roller of a withdrawal and straightening machine, and optimization is achieved by combining application effects of actual production. By means of the method, defects of a wave plate shape and a warping plate shape easily occurring in the production of thinner stainless steel strip steel are eliminated well, theoretical guidance and technical support are provided for withdrawal and straightening of stainless steel, and quality of strip steel is greatly improved. Besides, a process parameter query and addition system interface has strong visuality so that the production is scientific and systematic, and the problem that the process parameters of work shifts are different due to personal experience factors of operators is solved. An adding system guarantees that technical personnel can add process parameters capable of enabling strip steel to obtain good plate shapes after a series of statistics according to actual conditions, so that a database can be kept updated frequently, and process parameter setting can be improved and optimized continuously. Therefore, the method for setting the process parameters of the stainless steel strip steel withdrawal and straightening machine unit has a wide application prospect.

Method and system for work scheduling on calendars

InactiveUS20060136241A1ResourcesWork shiftShift time
A method of and system for handling allocation of task work to resources with flexibly configured availability contours (work calendars) is disclosed. The method includes defining one or more base calendars, a resource calendar associated with each resource, wherein the resource calendar inherits from a base calendar. A calendar reader, a set of recurring exception records, and a set of effective weeks for each calendar are also defined. For a specific date, the method determines whether an exception exists in one of the base calendar and resource calendar, and if an exception exists, computes a cached effective week honoring the exception data from an associated recurring exception record. If an exception does not exist, a cached effective week for the resource is computed from a combination of the calendar's standard week and associated effective week records. The cached effective week is contains day state information (working shifts) for the resource for each weekday of the calendar week surrounding the initially requested date. The cached effective week can then used by a scheduling engine to schedule task work for the resource honoring the intended availability contour. The disclosure can also be thought of as describing a system which includes a processor and a memory coupled with and readable by the processor. The memory contains a series of instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to define one or more base calendar and a resource calendar associated with each resource. Each resource calendar inherits from the base calendar. The processor also defines a calendar reader, a set of recurring exception records, and a set of effective week records for each calendar. For a specific date, the processor determines whether an exception exists in one of the base calendar and resource calendar. If an exception exists, it computes a cached effective week including the exception from the associated recurring exception record. If an exception does not exist, it computes the cached effective week using a combination of the calendar's standard week and associated effective week entries. In both cases, the cached effective week is kept for subsequent use in establishing day state information (shift times) for the resource for each weekday of the calendar week surrounding the initially requested date.
