InactiveUS20080215937A1Reduce frequencyIncrease processing frequencyDigital circuit testingFunctional testingLow speedSpeed test
Disclosed in a hybrid built-in self test (BIST) architecture for embedded memory arrays that segments BIST functionality into remote lower-speed executable instructions and local higher-speed executable instructions. A standalone BIST logic controller operates at a lower frequency and communicates with a plurality of embedded memory arrays using a BIST instruction set. A block of higher-speed test logic is incorporated into each embedded memory array under test and locally processes BIST instructions received from the standalone BIST logic controller at a higher frequency. The higher-speed test logic includes a multiplier for increasing the frequency of the BIST instructions from the lower frequency to the higher frequency. The standalone BIST logic controller enables a plurality of higher-speed test logic structures in a plurality of embedded memory arrays.

Correction of spacing violations between pure fill via areas in a multi-wide object class design layout

In a Pure Fill Via Area (PFVA) extraction design flow, the extracted PFVAs may violate the minimum via spacing rule with the existing vias and may also violate the minimum via spacing rule among themselves. Such extracted PFVA violations may be corrected in an automatable design flow not requiring user intervention by removing any portion of a PFVA falling within a minimum via spacing rule of an existing via, to form a DRC-clean PFVA relative to existing vias, and removing any portion of a DRC-clean PFVA falling within the minimum via spacing rule of another DRC-clean PFVA.

An electronic device & accessory support is a sash shaped structure which enables a user to “put on” and “wear” an electronic device & its connectivity accessories as easily as wearing a shoulder bag. The electronic device & accessory support securely holds a small electronic device and connected wire sets which extend through and exit the support from the upper end of the loop near the shoulder. The overall “sash” configuration stabilizes the support and the shoulder exit for ear bud speakers.

Drum brake

An adjuster for a strut located between first and second friction members for a drum brake. The strut has a shaft that is free to rotate in a first end member and threaded into the second end member. A lever pivots during a brake application and engages a ratchet wheel on the shaft to rotates the shaft and expand the strut to maintain a minimum running clearance with respect to a rotatable member. A bi-metal coil strip that is fixed to the strut has a free end that is aligned with the lever arm. The strip responds to a predetermined temperature by moving the lever arm away from the ratchet wheel such movement of the lever does not rotate the ratchet wheel and expand the strut. Thus, on termination of a brake application a current running clearance is sustained without being affected by the predetermined temperature.
