Weight exercise apparatus

An improved weight exercise apparatus having an interlocking grip bar and rotationally removable weight plates. A weight plate is attached to a socket on the grip bar and can be interlocked with additional weight plates using a simple insert and twist motion. The grip bar does not extend beyond the attached weight plates making the apparatus ergonomically friendly and aesthetically pleasing. The invention restricts the movement of interlocked weight plates to limit rattle-type noise typical of loose weights on a barbell and includes a latching mechanism to prevent a weight plate from being accidentally disconnected.

Changer-type disk device

A changer-type disk device includes a disk storage section holding disks arranged in the axial direction of the disks; a drive unit for reproducing and / or recording information from / in a disk selected from the disks in the disk storage section; a drive activating mechanism for moving the drive unit back and forth between a drive position where the selected disk is driven and a retracted position where no disk is driven; and pressing members. The pressing members come into pressure contact with the circumferential edges of the waiting disks held in the disk storage section to push them toward the disk storage section from the outside in the radial direction, and are separated therefrom when the drive unit is moved from the drive position to the retracted position. Accordingly, the waiting disks can be locked in the radial direction; thus, a rattle noise occurring from the waiting disks during driving of the selected disk can be reduced.

Providing a control apparatus for a vehicular drive system, which permits economical and easy reduction of generation of an abnormal sound upon starting of an engine in a running state of a vehicle. The control apparatus includes on-engine-starting differential limiting means for commanding a differential limiting clutch to limit differential rotary motion between front and rear drive wheels, in advance of automatic starting of an engine under the control of automatic engine starting control means. Accordingly, the limitation of the differential rotary motion between the front and the rear drive wheels by the differential limiting clutch ensures the starting of the engine without backlash which exists in the power transmitting path between the engine and the front and rear drive wheels, thereby permitting economical and easy reduction of generation of the abnormal sound upon starting of the engine in a running state of the vehicle.
