In the ultrasonic endoscope, the outer peripheral surface of the front end body includes: a first surface disposed on the base end side of the ultrasonic transducer, along the long axis of the insertion portion; a second surface disposed on the base end side of the first surface, along the long axis, and located on a direction side perpendicular to the long axis relative to the first surface in a first direction; and a stepped surface connecting the base end side of the first surface and the front end side of the second surface. Provided is a system capable of providing an ultrasonic endoscope in which the tip section can be reduced in size. A system is provided with: an ultrasonic endoscope having a vibrator array in which a plurality of vibrators extending in a first direction intersecting the axial direction of an insertion part are arranged in a curved shape; and a processor that performs processing for generating an ultrasonic image on the basis of an output signal of the vibrator array obtained by controlling the vibrator array, the opening angle of the vibrator array being 90 degrees or more and less than 180 degrees when viewed in the first direction, and the opening angle of the vibrator array being 90 degrees or more and less than 180 degrees when viewed in the second direction. The processor performs a first control for generating the ultrasonic image at a first angle of view larger than the opening angle.
