Trim resistor connector and sensor system

An improved IDC trim resistor connector assembly made up of a generally open top cup shape connector with side wall slots and an interior first array of terminal posts arranged for passage therethrough of a first lead wire of sensor circuitry. A first stamped metal IDC terminal is push-on mounted on the terminal posts for IDC cradling and electrically and mechanically receiving and connecting to the first lead wire. A conventional trim resistor substrate is loose mounted but accurately positioned on the connector bottom wall and has an "E" pattern of resistive material adapted for center leg laser trimming to calibrate the associated sensor circuitry. A first IDC terminal spring leg overlap contacts one side leg of the trim resistor E-pattern and thereby spring clamps the resistor substrate. A cover is snap-latch mounted on the connector and has an access opening to enable laser trimming of the trim resistor after cover installation. One end of a second lead wire is received in a second IDC metal terminal in turn mounted on a second array of connector-interior terminal posts and also having a spring leg overlap electrically contacting and clamping the other E-pattern side leg. Spring barbs on the terminals anchor the same once fully inserted downwardly onto the terminal posts. Connector locking tangs and cover locking ears provide snap-on retention of the cover on the connector, and press-in / keeper internal cover projections cause push-down assembly of the lead wires as the cover is latched onto the connector. Cover locking tangs and cap latching ears provide snap-together locking of a cap on the cover when the cap is pushed down on the cover to seal the access opening after completion of laser trimming and in-filling of the covered container with sealant. In a second embodiment a crimp-type terminal, also provided with a spring clamping leg, is fastened to the second lead wire and has a barbed mounting strap clasping a modified second terminal post array when fully installed thereon.

Electronic parts board and method of producing the same

An electronic component substrate 1-1 includes an insulating base 10 and a flexible circuit board 20 mounted on the insulating base 10. The flexible circuit board 20 is a synthetic resin film provided thereon with terminal patterns 29 and a conductor pattern 25 whose surface is slidingly contacted with a slider. The insulating base 10 is a synthetic resin molded piece. The flexible circuit board 20 is insert-molded to the insulating base 10. The electronic component substrate 1-1 is produced by preparing the flexible circuit board 20 and first and second mold members 41 and 45 having a cavity C1 with a shape that corresponds to the external shape of the electronic component substrate 1-1. Then, the flexible circuit board 20 is accommodated in the cavity C1 between the first and second mold members 41 and 45, and a molten molding resin is filled into the cavity C1. After the filled molding resin has been solidified, the first and second mold members 41 and 45 are removed.

Magnet coil arrangement

According to the invention, the coil of a magnet coil arrangement has a coil body which comprises a winding (14) and is extruded with plastic (17). A plug-in base with contact connectors is formed on the coil, wherein one of the connectors is used for connection of the grounding conductor (18). A metallic housing is placed over the coil. Connection of said metallic housing to the contact connector associated to the grounding conductor is achieved by means of a connection element which is guided through a recess of the plug-in base. A sealing element (42) disposed between the connection element and the recess prevents penetration of a fluid from a region between the metallic housing and the coil, into the region where a connector is connected to the contact connectors. In order to improve the electrical connection between the contact connector associated to the grounding conductor and the metallic housing, for a connection element (31) which is threaded in the metallic housing, a cylindrical metallic part is placed between the contact connector and the metallic housing. A respective sealing element (41, 42) is placed between the connection element and the metallic cylindrical part as well as between said part and the recess of the plug-in base. Such magnet coil arrangements are used in electromechanically-controlled hydraulic valves in which metallic parts accessible from outside must be connected to a grounding conductor.
