A disconnect mechanism for an electrical system that is integrated with the enclosure of the system, yet includes an external handle for closing and opening the electrical circuit. The invention utilizes the system's circuit breaker to switch the current on or off, eliminating the need for a separate external disconnect. Moving parts are limited to an external actuating handle connected by a shaft to an actuating arm, which has an opening whose inner edges press against a pin connected to the circuit breaker to trigger its movement between the on and off positions. Automatic tripping of the circuit breaker during a system overload moves the external handle to the off position, furnishing visual evidence of the systems working status. An interlock assembly is for locking the operating assembly of a safety switch when the cover thereof is open or removed. The safety switch includes an enclosure with the cover and side walls. The invention relates to an epoxy-pouring full-insulation solid isolating switch, which comprises an isolation body, a grounded contact, an isolation contact, a middle contact, an isolation moving contact, a driving screw rod, a fixed nut and a driving gear part, wherein the grounded contact and the isolation contact are arranged at two ends of the isolation body respectively, the middle part of the isolation body is provided with the middle contact, the upper end of the isolation contact is connected with a bus contact through a bus-bar, the bus contact is arranged on the top of the isolation body, and the isolation moving contact is always contacted with the middle contact through a watch chain sensing finger. The isolation switch slides between two positions of the middle contact and the isolation contact or the middle contact and the grounded contact to form the conduction or the isolation grounding of the isolating switch. A power transfer switch in which a cross bar including a movable contact is rotated to come into contact with one of fixed contacts disposed on left and right sides of the cross bar. A switch disconnector apparatus of the linear air type is described, said apparatus comprising: an upper device for transferring current, a fixed upper contact connected electrically to the upper device, a lower device for transferring current, a sliding lower contact connected electrically to the lower device and a contact tube movable between a closing position and a disconnecting position. According to the invention, the apparatus also comprises a casing of insulating material which forms a protective atmosphere. Moreover, the contact tube, the upper contact and the lower contact are substantially completely enclosed inside the casing. The disconnector is therefore closed, inside a protected environment, segregated, but not perfectly sealed. With the present invention all the drawbacks associated with unprotected air systems are avoided and a compact and safe apparatus preventing discharges between several phases is provided.

A grounding device for switchgear includes a connector and a body. The body includes (1) a male interface portion including an electrically conductive bus with a first bore and a spade connector; (2) a conductive housing including a second bore that is axially aligned with the first bore, and a grounding terminal to receive a grounding wire; (3) a pin assembly including a non-conductive tip, and a conductive pin, wherein the pin assembly is configured to move axially within the first and second bores between a closed position that provides an electrical connection between the bus and the conductive housing and an open position that provides no electrical connection; (4) a communications receptacle to receive signals from a controller outside the device body; and (5) a motor configured to selectively drive the pin assembly between the open position and the closed position, based on a signal from the controller.

A switch assembly of the hookstick operated switching assembly is mounted on a base. The resistance member includes a lever connected to the switch assembly that moves the switch between opened and closed positions. A first end of a pin is connected to the lever. A resistance member is connected to a second end of the pin. The resistance member contacts the base when the lever rotates to move the switch assembly between open and closed positions, thereby preventing accidental opening and closing of the switch assembly.
