Endodontic systems and methods for the anatomicall, sectional and progressive corono-apical preparation of root canals with minimal apical intrusion

A root canal is sequentially cleaned in sections from the crown to the apex by dividing it into three sections including an operative coronal portion, an operative middle portion and an apical portion. An operative phase corresponds with each section and specific instrumentation is used in each phase. After an opening is formed into the tooth to provide access into the root canal, the opening is preferably rectified to remove obstructions so that the anatomical root canal can be filly accessed. The pulp material is then sequentially removed from the portion of the root canal above the apical portion of the root canal with a set of instruments. The apical portion is then preferably cleaned with an irrigator or alternatively with another set of instruments. An optional set of instruments can also be used to improve the access into the apical portion such that irrigants can be delivered to the apical portion. Cleaning of the pulp material from the root canal also shapes the root canal to ease filling of the root canal with a filling material. The root canal preparation and shaping are completed while maintaining the original anatomy of the root canal. Each instrument comprises a handle connected to a file. Each file has an abrading portion and terminates at a tip. The files used to clean the portion of the root canal above the apical portion have properties which enable the abrading portion of the file to conform to the configuration of the root canal while simultaneously moving the file in a cleaning motion.

Rod and connector toy construction set

A rod and connector toy construction set, especially for use by young children. Connector elements, are formed with one or more rod-gripping sockets arranged radially with respect to a hub. The sockets are open at opposite sides, enabling lateral insertion and removal of rods. The connector elements, which are relatively large for easy handling by small children, are formed of a soft and pliant plastic material, to facilitate assembly and disassembly of rods with the connector elements by small hands. The rods generally are formed of a plastic material harder and stiffer than the connector material to accommodate easy handling of the rods during assembly and disassembly and to provide adequate strength in an assembled structure. The rods include enlarged, generally cylindrical end portions and adjacent neck portions of reduced diameter. The connector sockets include inner portions, configured to receive and closely confine the rod end portions, and outer portions arranged to receive and snuggly grip the rod neck portions, such that rods are held in axial alignment with the connector sockets.

Endodontic systems and methods for the anatomical, sectional and progressive corono-apical preparation of root canals with instruments utilizing stops

A root canal is sequentially cleaned in sections from the crown to the apex by dividing it into three sections including an operative coronal portion, an operative middle portion and an apical portion. After an opening is formed into the tooth to provide access into the root canal, the opening is preferably rectified to remove obstructions so that the anatomical root canal can be fully accessed. The pulp material is then sequentially removed from the portion of the root canal above the apical portion of the root canal with a set of instruments. An instrument may be used having a file with abrasive material on only its upper portion for aggresive abrading. Stops may be used with the instruments.

Composite energy consumption system with displacement secondary amplification and triggering self-resetting functions

The invention discloses a composite energy consumption system with displacement secondary amplification and triggering self-resetting functions, and belongs to the technical field of energy consumption and vibration reduction of building structures. The composite energy consumption system with the displacement secondary amplification and triggering self-resetting functions is mainly composed of a displacement secondary amplification mechanism and a triggering self-resetting damper. According to the composite energy consumption system with the displacement secondary amplification and triggering self-resetting functions, on the premise that the occupied space is small, structural interlayer displacement can be amplified and loaded to the two ends of the damper by means of the characteristics of a displacement amplifying device, so that the triggering self-resetting damper is fully deformed and consumes energy; the self-resetting function of the damper is not triggered during small earthquakes, earthquake energy is consumed through in-plane plastic deformation of a hollowed-out metal sleeve, the self-resetting function of the damper is triggered under the action of large earthquakes, and residual plastic deformation of the structure is reduced while the energy is efficiently consumed; meanwhile, the plastic deformation of the triggering self-resetting damper is mainly concentrated on the hollow-out metal sleeve, so that the self-resetting damper can be quickly repaired by replacing components after the earthquakes.
