Electrochromic rearview mirrors having reduced apparent size bezels are disclosed. Visual characteristics of the bezel, such as lightness value, are controlled in order to reduce the apparent size of the bezel. The lightness value of the bezel is preferably matched to the lightness value of the electrochromic mirror. In addition, the color value of the bezel may also be controlled. The electrochromic rearview mirrors may be mounted in the interior or on the exterior of vehicles.

A method, device, framework, and system provide the ability to control an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to avoid obstacle collision. Range data of a real-world scene is acquired using range sensors (that provide depth data to visible objects). The range data is combined into an egospace representation (consisting of pixels in egospace). An apparent size of each of the visible objects is expanded based on a dimension of the UAV. An assigned destination in the real world scene based on world space is received and transformed into egospace coordinates in egospace. A trackable path from the UAV to the assigned destination through egospace that avoids collision with the visible objects (based on the expanded apparent sizes of each of the visible objects) is generated. Inputs that control the UAV to follow the trackable path are identified.

A video of a regularized motion environment that comprise multiple video frames is acquired and an initial instance of an object of interest in one of the frames is then detected. An expected size and orientation of the object of interest as a function of the location of the object is then determined. The location of the object of interest is then determined in a next subsequent frame using the expected size and orientation of the object of interest.

An imaging lens assembly for an imaging reader includes a base lens having an optical power, a target side facing a target, and an imager side facing an imager. An aperture stop directly contacts the imager side and has an aperture through which return light from the target passes. The aperture is magnified in apparent size by the optical power of the base lens to form a magnified entrance pupil as seen through the target side. A variable focus liquid lens focuses the return light captured by the magnified entrance pupil over an extended range of working distances onto the imager. The invention relates to the field of semiconductor materials and aims to provide a preparation method for a TiO2/InVO4 composite porous micro-sphere. The method comprises the following steps: adding an NH4VO3 water solution into an InCl3 water solution; adjusting the pH value to 4 and agitating to obtain precipitate; adding the precipitate into a CTAB (Cetyltrimethyl Ammonium Bromide) water solution and carrying out a hydrothermal reaction; filtering, washing and drying the obtained precipitate and carrying out heat treatment to obtain an InVO4 porous micro-sphere; dispersing the InVO4 porous micro-sphere into absolute ethyl alcohol to obtain a dispersion system; gradually dripping polymer type TiO2 sol; filtering and drying the precipitate to finish a dip-coating procedure to obtain a TiO2 gel coated InVO4 porous micro-sphere; adding the TiO2 gel coated InVO4 porous micro-sphere into the water, agitating in a water bath, and filtering, washing and drying the precipitate to obtain a product. According to the preparation method for the TiO2/InVO4 composite porous micro-sphere, the nucleation and growth problems of a TiO2 nano crystal are solved so as to accelerate the TiO2 nano crystal to grow in the InVO4 composite porous micro-sphere in an in-situ manner and prevent homogeneous separation of the nano crystal in the solution in a traditional method; the problem that the high specific surface area and the recycling of catalytic materials cannot be considered at the same time is solved and the large specific surface area and apparent size can be obtained simultaneously.
