The invention provides a novel and rapid highway
toll system and device which are applied to an intelligent mobile terminal, a backend
server and barrier
gate control apparatuses. Firstly, a mobile terminal user registers
user information and registers vehicle information. As the registration is conducted, the backend
server verifies registration information. The intelligent mobile terminal acquires current position information of the vehicle by invoking a
third party API, stores the current position information and uploads the vehicle information to the backend
server. The backend server, based on the reported geological coordinate, computes the accumulated mileage from different
toll stations, and based on the accumulated mileage, computes how much the vehicle should pay. The barrier
gate control apparatuses which are installed at the
toll gates real-time capture a plate number of the vehicle, identify the captured images of the vehicle, and transmit the identified plate number to a barrier
gate control center for controlling barrier gate devices. According to the invention, by rapid plate number identification, rapid charging, and
automatic deduction, the
system greatly reduces
traffic congestion at toll gates, obviates the need for the vehicle to install hardware, can provide detailed deduction
record, and greatly improves user experience.
