128 results about "Electronic data interchange" patented technology

Electronic data interchange (EDI) is the concept of businesses electronically communicating information that was traditionally communicated on paper, such as purchase orders and invoices. Technical standards for EDI exist to facilitate parties transacting such instruments without having to make special arrangements.

Internet-based consumer product brand marketing communication system which enables manufacturers, retailers and their respective agents, and consumers to carry out product-related functions along the demand side of the retail chain in an integrated manner

An Internet-based consumer product marketing, merchandising and education / information system which enables manufacturers, their agents, retailers and their agents, and consumers to carryout product-related functions along the demand side of the retail chain. A central UPN / TM / PD / URL RDBMS stores a central database of UPN / TM / PD / URL links. A first subsystem enables a manufacturer's marketing, brand and / or product managers to create and manage a local database of UPN / TM / PD / URL links related to the consumer products of the manufacturer being offered for sale in both physical and / or electronic marketplaces, and periodically transport local database of UPN / TM / PD / URL links to central UPN / TM / PD / URL RDBMS by electronic data interchange techniques. The local database of UPN / TM / PD / URL links is managed within a local UPN / TM / PD / URL RDBMS, and selected by the manufacturer's marketing, brand and / or product managers so as to create a desired brand image for each consumer product of the manufacturer. A second subsystem enables consumers to access one or more UPN / TM / PD / URL links in central UPN / TM / PD / URL RDBMS, to request and obtain information about a manufacturer's consumer product so as to make informed / educated purchases along the demand side of the retail chain. A third subsystem enables manufacturers and their advertising and marketing agents to access one or more UPN / TM / PD / URL links in central UPN / TM / PD / URL RDBMS, to display consumer product advertisements to consumers, at or near the point of purchase or sale within both physical and / or electronic retail shopping environments so as to project the desired brand image to consumers. A fourth subsystem enables retailers and their marketing and promotional agents to access one or more UPN / TM / PD / URL links in central UPN / TM / PD / URL RDBMS, to promote consumer products to consumers, at or near the point of purchase or sale within both physical and / or electronic retail shopping environments so as to promote the sale of such products in inventory.

Method for personal email archiving and organization for electronic data, including email, which can be utilized by both the user and the provider in a variety of ways

This invention is directed to a method for electronic data exchange, including Email, which involves archiving and organizing a personal email management system used in electronic data communication and exchange system. The invention adds utility to existing internet-based email systems for enhancing user satisfaction by providing easy manageability of personal emails. The invention can also include a client system that allows users to archive and organize emails, and also to download important emails from their internet-based email system and help manage them through either email provider or by a client program residing on the user's system. Extending client program for email management would help user archive, download, upload and manage/organize emails from different email providing system. The invention also allows a user to interface email management from one or more computers, with one or more internet providers, and one or more software programs, such as virus scanning software, which can be located either on user's computer(s) or the email service provider. Furthermore, the methods taught by this invention can be available from any email service provider or third party via either internet-based systems, which may include the email system itself or other systems, or via client programs residing on the user's system.

Method and system for auctioning a product on a computer network

A method and system for auctioning a product on a computer network includes an auction site computer having an auction site and a scan site computer having a scan site. The method and system includes placing a desired product identifier on the scan site of the computer network. The desired product identifier is indicative of a product desired by the buyer. The auction site has a sale product identifier indicative of a product for sale by a seller. The auction site is then monitored with the scan site. The desired product identifier on the scan site is then compared with the sale product identifier on the auction site. Whether the product desired by the buyer is for sale on the auction site by the seller is then determined from the comparison between the desired product identifier and the sale product identifier. The buyer is then notified when the product desired by the buyer is for sale on the auction site by the seller. A bid from the buyer is then placed to the auction site for the product desired by the buyer. The scan site may be monitored to determine the product desired by the buyer. Each of the product identifiers may include a category product and/or a description product identifier. Comparing the desired product identifier with the sale product identifier includes comparing the category product identifier on the scan site with the category product identifier on the auction site and/or comparing the description product identifier on the scan site with the description product identifier on the auction site. The auction site may be monitored with the scan site using electronic data interchange (EDI) messaging.

Method for processing transaction information

A method for processing transaction information is provided according to the present invention. The method enables business vender to provide consumers with paperless transaction information, e.g. invoice information, via a route mainframe and a electronic data interchange platform. The method includes providing a mobile electronic device and establishing an information service platform to connect the electronic data interchange platform, for providing the consumers a means for payment of bills; when the cash register of the business vender receives a request of the payment of bills by using the mobile electronic device, having the card reader to access balance of the electronic purse of the mobile electronic device; judging whether the balance of the electronic purse is enough for the payment of bills, if not, prohibiting the mobile electronic device from proceeding to the payment of bills, and terminating the transaction information process; if yes, then having the mobile electronic device proceed to the payment of bills and allowing the cash register to transmit, via the route mainframe and the electronic data interchange platform, transaction information received to the information service platform for saving; and transmitting at least a part of the transaction information to the mobile electronic device by the information service platform.

Remotely updating device of EDIB (Electronic Data Interchange Bus) based down-hole program

The invention discloses a remotely updating device of an EDIB (Electronic Data Interchange Bus) based down-hole program. In a ground logging system, an updating program is compiled as a target file of .out by CCS (Compiling Program Software); in a program processing module, the program is analyzed and extracted to be changed into hexadecimal data and then is encapsulated; in a data transmission module, Manchester encoding is performed, a differential signal outputted after encoding is driven, isolated, coupled and outputted to the EDIB. In a down-hole apparatus, the differential signal on the EDIB is coupled, linearly received and reshaped in a data receiving module, and outputted to FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) for Manchester encoding so as to restore the hexadecimal encapsulated data; a program updating module extracts the hexadecimal data from the hexadecimal encapsulated data, restores the hexadecimal data as an object code capable of being identified by DSP BootLoader and then writes the restored hexadecimal data in a program storage via a programming library function so as to update the program of a down-hole apparatus. Without influencing on the normal logging work, the ground system and the down-hole apparatus are reconstructed to improve the logging efficiency.
