An embodiment of the invention discloses a vehicle on-board controller and a
train. The vehicle on-board controller is characterized in that only one VOBC (vehicle on-board controller) is arranged onthe
train, connected with the head and the
tail of the
train through hard wires and used for controlling the head and the
tail of the train, MMI (
multimedia interface) displays and driver's cabs are arranged at the head and the
tail of the train, the train and the VOBC are only provided with one vehicle interface, and the VOBC comprises a switching
system for controlling switching of the head or the tail. The train comprises only one VOBC for switching and controlling the head or the tail, switching / fold-back time is shortened, transport capacity can be increased, and retention of passengers is decreased. Compared with a double-VOBC
system, the train has the advantages that one set of hardware, one vehicle on-board antenna, one
radar and two speed sensors are omitted, safety is not reduceddue to the single VOBC, the
architectural pattern of a redundant platform is still adopted, and normal running can be continued if single-
system problems arise.
