It is a benzoylphenyl urea developed by Makhteshim-Agan Industries Ltd.. In the United States, the compound has been used on food crops, including apples, potatoes, brassicas, ornamentals and cotton. Patents and registrations have been approved or are ongoing in several other countries throughout Europe, Asia, Africa and South America, as well as Australia.
